Didn't Apple start this with Ping a decade ago?

It seems like this is exactly what Apple wanted - a social network where the only people who could post would be artists, and everyone else would have to idly consume it.
Apple Music Connect was basically that.
Connect was Twitter for artists with no interaction back to the artist

Ping was more interactive and based on the users likes etc.

It’s really getting to this point now huh?

What about Spotify as the default music player in my HomePods.... and integration with Siri..... just as with Amazon Echo

Given their prioritization on copying social media features, we'll never see offline music on the Apple Watch

What is this trend? YouTube and Twitter recently. What's the obsession with this kind of sharing?
Firstly, this function cannot be disabled in the user interface and it takes up space for those who do not want to see it.
Secondly, this is just a banal secon feed, which was originally conceived as a garbage sump. But everyone uses it differently, and if you follow someone's content, you have to watch two feeds at once and spend more time on it, including trash.

While the world strives for minimalism and should strive to reduce information noise, such an intrusive heap is simply unacceptable.

I've been a Spotify fan for over ten years now... but this might be the final nail in a recently growing coffin for me.
As silly as this sounds, I'm contemplating not reupping my subscription once it's up in April. First with Spotify pushing podcasts down our throat and now this. I just want to listen to music on demand when I launch the app, not be bombarded with "stories" and podcasts I have zero interest in.

I don't need some Vine reject interrupting my sweet jams with their Tik Tok stupidity! My phone is my vessel to bring all these apps together if I need it, don't need spotify doing it for me. #notmymusicapp

Ugghhh. Can we just stick to music please!?! I don't even want Podcast suggestions in Spotify. Just music please!

It's funny how some people are saying "I can't leave Spotify because I've spent years curating and creating the best playlists..."

But the moment Spotify adds some silly feature they're saying "I'm out..."

:p

This is the most unnecessary thing...
If Spotify needs to do one thing it's to allow uploading own files to Spotify Cloud... because the Spotify library is actually quite limited aside the mainstream.

It’s really getting to this point now huh?
If people would compete in productivity... that would actually be a good thing...
