GSM vs. CDMA is irrelvant to 99% of consumers. Heck, all the best Android phones with the exception of the Nexus series have been CDMA on Verizon and Sprint (EVO).

Your absolutely right. Very popular phones with CDMA, but I don't like the technology as its very limited.

Well I only speak from my experience....

ATT in the bay area their data was super fast but call quality was not as good as Sprint IMO. My oldest son worked for ATT wireless in the bay area since the original iphone and has owned them all. There are times like the SF Niner playoff game when I couldnt reach him because the capacity was overloaded. His calls on his iphone went straight to VM. Just as a check I tried calling his iphone while I was right next to him and his phone never got the call. Only after we left the park did he start getting vm and calls.

I opened an ATT account last month because I wanted the fast data...I drive from Green Valley to Morgan Hill weekly. My calls dropped moreon ATT than I have ever experienced on Sprint (14 YEARS WITH SPRINT). So I closed my ATT acct.
I can say I loved the data experience but the overall call quality was terrible compared to Sprint. I use about 2000 minutes between work and personal and on a bad month I drop one max two calls with Sprint.

Verizon is very nice and the reason I didnt go with them is because unlike both ATT and Sprint they do not have an any mobile option for calling to other carriers unlimited and without using your mobile minutes.

That's what I've always heard. Sprint has great call quality but crappy data speeds, while AT&T vice versa. Ive only had sprint as my carrier for 10 yrs now and I'm tearing myself as to whether or not to leave... Or just keep with it.

It truly depends on how quickly they can roll out their LTE. I mean are people going to buy an LTE iPhone on Sprint just because it is Apple? Sprint needs new customers and people definitely will not switch to Sprint if LTE isn't up and running. Their existing customers probably don't care to have the iPhone like customers on At&t or Verizon so its looking pretty rough as of now for Sprint.:(

Everyone I know with Sprint has iPhones, or the Samsung Galaxy s2

How do you figure it's limited? In my estimation the only thing limiting it is the fact that in order to use it you are tied to Qualcomm.

@ Other Posters..... it is a sad state to see where Sprint is now. 5 Years ago they were pretty well positioned to put themselves ahead in the market, but a big gamble proved to be a bad one. EVDO was faster than the GSM Edge or 3G equivalent. GSM carriers were behind in rolling out 3G networks. So Sprint had great nationwide coverage and a data network that was faster than others in most cases.

It was around that time that Sprint stopped upgrading their 3G network technology and started investing heavily in 4G.... unfortunately the standard they chose ended up being the HD-DVD of 4G standards, and they effectively squandered their lead. Now they are trying to bolster their existing 3G network until they can get their second 4G network up and running. They fell from the front of the pack to the back.
