Verizon didn't get anything exclusive when they got the iPhone...
Of course they did (maybe only until tomorrow). What other carrier currently sells a CDMA iPhone today?

Not really. If they can sell a ton of iPhone 5s on Sprint, they will still sell a ton of 4Ss on AT&T and Verizon. Then, in a few months, they will sell a ton of 5s on AT&T and Verizon. It's actually quite smart to split them up.
WSJ said it which makes the educated Apple fan kind of frightened to here what's coming tomorrow.
Interesting news from Sprint:

4G strategy only 3 days after the Apple event and the rumors of Sprint's involvement.
That depends on the announcement tomorrow. I still see it as a dumb idea to give a redesign exclusively to a company that never had the phone in the first place (and a company that is tied for last in Customer Satisfaction).
Do not put it pass Apple not to give a rats ass. They just want money.
If they do this and it is true then Apple has figured that they will get more money from the deal than what they will lose from people being angry. Apple has the fanboy factor it can use and it knows that many people will buy and worship not matter what they put out.
I would be shocked if it is true but I would not put it past Apple.
Don't forget, AT&T's exclusivity nearly made it the #1 carrier in the US. Just because a bunch of tech informed people here won't jump ship, doesn't mean the general public also won't.
I don't see this happening... but if it were to happen, I'd be extremely ticked off at Apple. I waited in line on the first day for iPhone 1, and if iPhone 5 is exclusive to Sprint.... it would be a slap in the face.
...On the other hand, I can't believe Apple would do this. There isn't a single iPhone 4 user out there that has completed their 2-year contract with AT&T or Verizon. They'd be pissing in the faces of every single iPhone 4 user by not allowing them to upgrade without a ton of hassle.
...

Doesn't Verizon have the same amount of LTE coverage as Sprint ? If not more.
This doesn't make any sense. No more sense than MR posting varying reports over the past 4 days.
One day. No iPhone 5
Next day iPhone 5
Next day No iPhone 5

I'll just wait until tomorrow and keep my blood pressure down.![]()
Someone answer this. please.
Why would the iPhone 5, rumored to be a HSPA+ device, come to Sprint, when Sprint uses WiMax?
Shouldn't the iPhone 5 be coming to T-Mobile then?
Why?![]()
Maybe that's why Apple can give Sprint the exclusivity...because people are trapped in a contract still...and that may be why Apple may release the iPhone 5 to AT&T and Verizon in Q1 of 2012.
How can you possibly imagine that Apple would sell a ton of 4S's if the 5 was just a few months out?

If that's true... PURE BULLS**T!!!
I'd rather NOT have a redesigned iPhone 5 if that's the case. I will NEVER switch to Sprint no matter what. There's no way this is legit.
Tomorrow cannot come any slower.
NO...it say's "Sprint Nextel Declines on Report It Committed to Buy 30.5 Million IPhones" RIGHT IN THE TITLE.
and then it sates...."To win the right to carry the device, Sprint had to commit to buying the phones from Apple Inc. (AAPL) whether Sprint could find buyers for them or not, the Wall Street Journal reported."
it DOES NOT say that they have committed to ANYTHING.
