16GB Gray shipped already for Monday delivery.

Any Silvers that have shipped yet? Waiting on my 16GB to ship.

Ordered at 12:26am PDT, 16gb gold. Initial estimate was up to 3 weeks, but now says 4-6 weeks.

I'm really beginning to think that Sprint is just laughing at us. Patience.

I thought they weren't supposed to bill your credit card until your phone is available for shipping? Maybe I'm wrong.

I just checked my credit card statement and Sprint has already billed my credit card.

Not really a big deal I suppose but if I have to wait six weeks for a phone I don't think they should be billing my credit card already.

I've never had good luck with a Sprint order, whether I paid for overnight shipping, in-store pick-up or regular shipping, they always took way longer than they were supposed to for actually shipping the phone. Thus, I now only order from Apple.

I really hope they get them fast and you guys with dates of a month or more don't have to wait that long.

I didn't want to confound the rant by bringing that up, but you're right. I went to Sprint from AT&T thinking I was getting rid of the "Dropouts."
Guess what?
I still got dropouts. The only difference is that AT&T dropouts happened only at specific places. Sprint dropouts happened randomly and could occur anywhere. Signal was also crappy. AT&T was better ... plus I had the ability to use voice and data simultaneously with AT&T which was very convenient - I could hold a conversation while googling information.
I took solace in that I was paying much less at Sprint for an unlimited plan...

... well you know the rest.

When Sprint let T-Mobile pass them in LTE pops in a mere 3 month launch cycle I figured it was the beginning of the end.

I was charged too. Also not a big deal for me, but I checked out their preorder information. It does say that they charge when you make the order.

I'm perfectly okay with that, but it'd be nice if they took my 4S for their buyback price on 9/20 ($147) instead of what will most likely be a reduced price 6 weeks from now. I guess I understand though, since they won't have my phone until they get me the new one. Perhaps I'll try to get that (totally unnecessary) $36 upgrade fee removed or sell my phone somewhere else. Suggestions?

As for me, I ordered the 32g gold iPhone in-store at 8:30am on the 20th. As of right now, no information is being shown on my order status. I am fully expecting a 6-week wait, but I'm alright with that. Anything less will be a happy surprise.

"Thank you for your order. iPhone 5s orders placed prior to 7 pm CT on 9/23 will ship in up to 3 weeks from order date. Orders placed after that will ship in 4 to 6 weeks from order date. Keep an eye out for a shipping email with your tracking information. Please continue to check www.sprint.com/myorder for the latest shipping information."

just updated

Has anyone who ordered directly from Sprint online received a shipping status for a gold 5S? Or is the first person to order one also waiting "4 to 6 weeks"? It's just weird because I swear the first status said something much shorter.

3 to 5 days to lure you in, then up to three weeks notice in an email a minute later , and then they tell you 4 to 6 weeks after they take your money...:(

Glad I didn't get the 3 - 5 days lure! My 12:12 confirmation initially said "up to three weeks," which of course was then changed to 4 - 6 weeks a few days ago (of course it feels like eons ago).

I always wonder who writes these estimates and what they are basing them on. Someone in Sprint HQ talking to some Apple employee going, "What?? More delays? Aww crap. Time to update the order confirmation template."

I ordered an iPhone 5S Silver 64GB at around 12:30 am Pacific Time (or whenever Sprint finally put them available for sale). I was just on the phone with customer service and they told me that I was lucky because I was in the 4-6 week ship date order group, rather than the other people who are in the 6-8 week shipping group.

I don't find myself lucky because my order from Apple.com for the upgrade on my other phone (iPhone 5S Space Gray 64GB) is coming today, who know's when my Sprint.com order will arrive.

Ordered this afternoon 9/25 @1:22PM Pacific Time thru apple.com for my sprint upgrade. 16GB Space Gray.

Congrats! Of course, this is exactly the kind of thing that rewards checking the status instead of waiting for the email notification like a normal person. And then I figure, "Hey! They shipped eb3604's phone, maybe they shipped mine and everybody else's, too!"

Ha ha. Nope.

Ordered 12:30AMPST on Friday Sep. 20th.

Gold 16GB

Says up to 3 weeks initially. Now it says 4-6 weeks. I think I am among the first batch. Will update when I receive shipping information. My expectation is to receive it by end of Oct.

My order on Sprint's website went through at 1210 pacific time, so I know I was one of the first to order. I ordered the 16gb Gold. At first it said 3 weeks to ship, now when I check my order status it says 4-6 weeks. I figure I probably won't get it until December. So much for waking up at 300 am Eastern to try and be the first to get one. The iphone 6 will be out by the time mine ships.

I was on the phone with Sprint for 2 hours today. The stores around me received on average a handful of phones and costumers had to be turned away from the Apple store in the willow grove mall (PA) since they received " un usual " amount less than the other three carriers. After being on the phone the sales associate escalated me to his manager to address my concerns. He said that Sprint inventory was extremely strained and that most stores will be trickling in orders through out the coming weeks. I ordered my phone while talking to him and he said it could take up to three weeks before it ships do to constraints. I asked if this was to cover themselves and he said we give time based on what we see in inventory and what we project we are going to be getting.

I think either A sprint was allotted less phones or B Sprint's shipments did not come in on time. I went to three best buys and they had yet to even receive any sprint iphone 5s let alone 5c's. Ok end of my talk, post below.

OP, what kind of LTE speeds do you get on your iphone 5?
