Im not sure of the difference. I paid the remainder of the balance on my 6plus Saturday. When I get on the Sprint website I have a green check saying I'm eligible for upgrade.
when you hover over the green check does it say lease or payment plan upgrade? You likely signed a two year contract on your 6plus which is how you got the phone at a cheaper subsidized price. You still haven't lived out that two year contract but Sprint is offering basically everyone who got a 6plus an "upgrade" to a 6s but only if you sign up via a leasing plan or payment plan.

That would prevent me from upgrading in the Apple store?
Let me check. I wonder why nobody from sprint said anything about this?!?

it would prevent you from getting the subsidized pricing at the Apple Store, the upgrade you're seeing on your account, if its what I think it is, is only an exception from Sprint to get you on the new phone and essentially keep you under contract for another year.

You have no agreement or your agreement with us is complete.

Need help?

I didnt see anything when I hover over the check
but when I click "see my contract details" thats what it said

My wife was on the phone with Sprint for over 2 hours trying to get our 24 month lease agreement fix. When we signed the agreement last year the guy at the sprint store said we could upgrade every year with this plan but it turned out we couldn't. So she raised hell and told them we get new phones every year and been with Sprint for over 13 years so after all the ******** we finally got the upgrade and didn't have to pay the early termination fee or the rest of the least. Now in 3-5 days we have a iPhone 6S Rose 64gb and a 6S Plus Space Grey 64 gb coming and are in stock.

Smh typical... We sorta had an issue alike that... Apple has an hotline for sprint to resolve all those issues... Maybe you should reserve two phones on the website and try again

When I went to the apple store Saturday they had me call sprint while the Apple sales person waited. I kind of wanted her to talk to them or call someone because I got nowhere and walked away empty handed.

Just got off the phone between a 3way call with Apple and sprint. Sprint confirmed my eligibility on their side. Although they said it could take up to 5 business days before apple sees I'm off contract, sprint rep said Apple should have a national sales number to call to push the upgrade through (apple rep seemed to disagree). Sprint rep said ALL SPRINT upgrade options should be available in the Apple store. Annnnddd this is where it got awkward because the Sprint and Apple rep started getting snarky with each other lol. Apple rep said no way, Apple has a non compete cause and would not be offering another leasing program when they offer their own. Sprint rep disagreed. Apple rep then called my local apple store to see if indeed they would do Iphone forever in the store (for some reason he left me on hold during this part) when he came back he said No apple does no offer other leasing programs through sprint. I would only be able to do a 2 yr contract, iUP, or buy the phone straight out.
Not sure what to believe because right there on the Apple website it says it offers other sprint financing options come into an apple retail store to find out!

I have to say…deal with your carrier when it comes to upgrades and plans.

Deal with Apple when it comes to service or replacement.

Apple falls down on upgrades and plans. Technically, if they wanted to all they could offer is just the iPhone. But, they deal with the carrier plans as a courtesy…and obviously not all of them.

Sprint (and the other carriers) falls down when it comes to service/repairs because they don't deal with Apple, they have Assurion for that and Assurion is mediocre at best.

Sorry, but it's just the way it is.

Anyone on the iPhone Forever plan who received their phone on launch day NOT receive their "Smartphone" Return Kit? I've put in two requests for this kit and and nothing has showed up. They really want to charge me $200 don't they?

Is anyone else having imessage problems on their sprint iphone? This just started for me yesterday, and Im getting really annoyed.

It has been acting strangely on mine tonight. Some messages don't seem to send right away. While others don't give a delivered notification until they have read it.

Ordered mine yesterday, nothing either, I would imagine that ATTs allocation of iphones is much greater than Sprints.

Still no movement on my phone. Anyone else get movement. Order date 9/30 16gb SG 6S+

I pre-ordered my 6s Rose Gold Plus 64GB in store on the 13th and I just called today and they said it could take up another 2weeks. I'm seeing ppl who ordered a week after me receive theirs already! I don't understand it's so frustrating and I can't do anything about it. They won't give me a tracking # or even have a real estimated time of arrival.
I want to cry.

I received my phone today and I didn't get any return kit either

Got my issued squared away after asking my buddy Marcelo Claure on Twitter to help me out, lol.

Apparently, they need the serial number of the "smartphone" you choose to trade-in for the promo before they will send you a return kit. If you had an existing lease or active phone on your account, they already had your serial number so the return kit was processed automatically. Not one piece of literature or email stated this when pre-ordering and signing up for iPhone Forever.

Update: I canceled my online order. Googled idevice Finder. Brought up a website and I found a store within 30 mins of me. Went to the store and got my phone today. Next year I will pre order and won't order online.

got my phone yesterday, coming from a 6+ and the 6s+ being the same body I sometimes forget I have a new phone with new features, kind of an odd feeling. It's SUPER quick though.
