Then you are a lucky Sprint customer. See link below....Sprint's own forum on iPhone issues (almost 1 million hits)....speed is a major issue.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing that Sprint has the slowest data speeds. With that being said the speed is good enough that I can stream YouTube and Netflix on my 4s and rarely have a problem. Sure, the initial buffering is a little longer but it's not like the wireless data is useless. The only time that I really notice the slow speed is if I try to download an app, or some other large chunk of data, when I'm not on WiFi. I'm typically on WiFi though so it's a nonissue for me. If I was a heavy data user and I was rarely on WiFi I'm sure the data speed would drive me nuts, but that's just not my situation.

The network, which includes free roaming on Verizon's towers, has been solid in my experience (and I've been w/Sprint for many years in multiple parts of the country) and a plan w/AT&T or Verizon that would accommodate my typical phone usage would cost me about $20 more a month than what I pay for Sprint.

When my contract expired and I decided I wanted a 4s I spent weeks analyzing my usage patterns and compared that to plans from AT&T and Verizon and finically it just didn't make sense to spend so much more money for basically faster data speeds when the Sprint data speeds, while the slowest, still met my needs.

k. My data speeds with Sprint are literally unusable.

"Coverage" is a non-issue for 90% of people.

I can get "coverage" on any of these carriers, anywhere I go.

All I care about is data speed. Its 2012, for crying out loud. 1.5 Mbps from Sprint is garbage....3.5 Mbps from Verizon is also junk.

Varying speeds of 4 Mbps to 12 Mbps on AT&T is all I want to hear about. Apparently, the overwhelming majority of customers agree, unsurprisingly.

People with "coverage" issues can make their own decisions. Clearly, its not (and never was) the fantasy that people on forums made it out to be.

You can't possibly think that LTE won't get faster data rates when the next iPhone comes out. HSPA+ will be a thing of the past because most markets that have it will be covered in LTE.

Uh...clearly LTE changes the entire ballgame.

But there is no LTE iPhone, is there?

When there is, maybe the discussion changes.....or maybe, possibly, the multi billion dollar carriers are NOT idiots, and will come up with incentives to stay, rather than jump ship.

You are in Germany and someone AT&T reaches over there... Please tell me how Verizon-US has better coverage in Germany.

Please, as if I had to reside in the US to know how the carriers screw you and how bad they are.
It's not like I've never been there or don't have friends over in the US.

So, how is my home country of much relevance?
Can I do a test myself NOW this second? No.
But do I know what the carriers are like over there? You bet so.

Sidenote: funny joke in the end from you! :p ^^

Inserting the work "like" in the middle of your sentence clearly identifies your age and social status.

The use of "social status" so like identifies what you think of yourself, whereas the five downvotes tell us what others think of you :D

So much hype and fanfare when Verizon got the iPhone. I remember those threads, "AT&Ts death".

Yet surprisingly AT&T is doing just fine and beating two carriers. Seems to show that the vocal ones were just a minority. If AT&T would be problem ridden as we were led to believe, there would be mass exodus. Something that has yet to be seen.

So are you suggesting that Apple should have stayed exclusively with AT&T? If so I don't agree with that.

Sprint is suffering by being Sprint. They are smaller and less people have experience with them. It's easy to get a recommendation from someone who has used Verizon or AT&T, Sprint is just less known amongst consumers.
