LOL, YMMV. If you break the screen or drown it and they don't cover it, don't blame me.
It also needs to be under the Apple warranty. But don't use me as an excuse if you have a problem. I'm only posting the information I (and others) have found.
No matter how you slice it, in my opinion their warranty is worthless it if they aren't warrantying it for full replacement value as they PREVIOUSLY did for my iPhone 2G, 3G and then my Blackberry Bold. If they did cover the 3GS for full replacement value I'd have kept the warranty as I had with the 3 other phones just to cover me if I dropped it off the roof or ran it over with my car.
I have a sneakin' suspicion that as soon as the 3GS was announced they suddenly had a large number of claims on "broken" 2G and 3G's so they changed their terms.
Also, in my opinion, it was kind of SLEAZY of them to have their reps tell me and others who inquired how to cover it for full value when it wasn't the case. When they set me the email to "call them for the <secret> method to circumvent their own rules" it sounded a little strange. Squaretrade always had a good reputation in my opinion (although there are some on Resellerratings.com that disagree) but after slipping in these new "terms" in the fine print for the 3GS my mind has been changed. They don't have these limitations on any other phone, just the iPhone.

Well, read this thread a few times and I just cancelled the Squaretrade warranty, was refunded to my Paypal account in about 5 minutes. The cancellation was very easy. So according to MrEd if I break my phone Apple will repair/replace for only $199? Water damage, screen damage, etc? Even a 32gb 3GS? Sure hope so.
