The same as the 320 but faster. So if you find one for the same price as a Crucial M4, go for it.What about Intel 520?

I have a question
I am really interested in having a SSD. I will be buying the next generation MBP.
So now my question is, should I buy my SSD through Apple Online Store in the customization part? Or it is more recommended to buy 3rd party and install myself? Can you break down the pros and cons for both option?
This has been confusing me for a moment, thanks anyone who clearing this up.

I heard that the shipped SSD will not be as fast as third party high end SSD, and third party SSD will be cheaper too. Is this true? What SSD are the Macs using?
You will notice a big difference in initial boot time and the startup time of apps, but once the system is running and you have all your apps started there is not much of a difference. I will qualify that by saying if your normal usage it to import say large video/image files into app, then that will be much faster.
I thought SSD is faster so that you can run multiple apps and so maybe when you go from page to page the internet will be faster?
Not really.. For multiple apps, RAM is what you want.I thought SSD is faster so that you can run multiple apps and so maybe when you go from page to page the internet will be faster?
For many people that is worth it. Mr and Mrs Jones never fill up more than 10% of their harddrive.Wait a minute, so if only boot time and launch time of apps are faster than I don't see the point in sacrificing so much in inside storage.
Yes.I guess it's quieter and doesn't fail often like HDD does at least?
I'm thinking of getting this 1TB for my MBP, would this work? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152291
Anyone using a Vertex 4? I am using a vertex 3 240 GB, but I want to upgrade to 480/512 GB. I am considering a Vertex 4, Kingston Hyper X and Samsung 830. Any opinions?
So am on the verge of upgrading to an SSD for my primary drive (will move the 750 to the optibay). In reviewing the options, I see a number of drives that have virtually identical part numbers, bot for the Samsung 512 and the M4 512... Is there a site somewhere that lists the differences in the drives based on those minor part number variations? I am 'assuming' that the difference is microcode level, but... Not having much luck identifying the differences (except price differences).
