I wish I could find more info on how Snapselect works. I'm looking for something like it, but I can't really find anything about how it identifies duplicates/similar images. Timestamps? Image contents? Something else? There's no demo version either.

I have some interest in the other apps, but perhaps not enough to buy the bundle anyway.

It analyzes the images. I use it and like it. It's not perfect, but it works well.

Thanks! I couldn't justify this bundle, but I picked it up on its own (currently on sale for $10). The Lightroom integration is impressive, and it seems to be a good tool. I'll start running it through its paces a little more thoroughly, but initial impressions are good.

I'm not buying it. Bundle's too expensive, even on sale.

Where do these people come from? They're all over these boards now.

If something costs more than you want to pay, you don't buy it. Simple as that. It's not for you. Why complain about it?

It's got to be the culture with kids/teens. Because back 20 years ago, people would sometimes inflate what they paid for something to impress people. It seems the opposite now - tell someone you won't buy something because it's too expensive (even if it's $1) to impress someone. Weird.

You hassle me over this? Lighten up.

Are these licenses for only ONE machine?

I think it varies from product to product. The Corel After Shot Pro 2 activation FAQ says that a license code can only ever be used on one machine, ever (meaning, your machine breaks down, just buy another copy of Corel's software!) It is hard to imagine they are actually that draconian, but you can't even ask their support force a question like that without ... activating on a machine and registering your software on that machine. Ugh. These guys make Adobe seem like the best company to work with in the world!

On the other hand, I know that the Data Rescue license I bought years ago was used on many machines, and I'd be surprised if they've changed to a single-machine activation scheme.

Unfortunately, StackSocial doesn't seem to know or post the details about the licenses you are buying (although I do believe I have read them claim these are all full licenses which are upgradeable if the product offers upgrade pricing in the future), so the best approach is to assume all licenses are for a single user on a single machine, perhaps ever, until you can confirm more generous licensing from the company.

I'd have hassled you too. This is a high quality bundle. If the titles aren't right for you, move along. If you want it for $10... good luck with that.

I just remembered another reason to have Data Rescue. It also retrieves images from corrupted camera cards. I've had to use that a few times too and that's not something you can Time Machine your way out of.
