Sorry for the delayed post but my CC just got charged an hour ago! XX:05:15 conformation email. Just posting to inform everyone.
I can't believe even seconds matters this much. This is ridiculous. I don't wanna get mad but I'm close! -.-

How does Apple let you know your card is decline? Or does your bank let you know? I need to know this!
Define close. -.- I've never pre order something and had to wait this long after release date. -.- death!!!!
Through the order Status website. I checked my cc website & there was absolutely no sign of any charged. When I refreshed the order status site there was a an alert at the top that says the charge was declined & to contact my bank. I called immidiately & I had them re-run the same card since there is no issue with the card itself. It was approved right away. I think it was because it has been over 30 days since the original pre-auth.
I asked apple this before I ordered my watch. They told me that they will attempt to charge your card twice and if it is declined both times they will attempt to reach out to you. Not sure if this means they will call you or email you. I would get in touch with your credit card provider and have them ready for the re-attempt at a charge. Good luck!
So at this point my :05;16 has been charged & approved. Now just waiting for the pfs status. Just hoping there is no hiccups . Now I'm excited!!

Sorry the red alert is now gone. It went away as soon as my cc charge went through.

Been lurking on this thread for the last week or so. Like everyone else, I've been getting frustrated about the lack of change in status. But, I'm happy to report that I just got charged for my watch (around midnight-ish)! Checked the apple store and I'm now officially at the "preparing for shipment" stage.
My order went into Apple's systems at 03:04:48 EST (confirmation email at 03:04:55).
Good luck to everyone still waiting for their order! I've been using a 42mm milanese loop model the last couple weeks and it's really awesome (the space black watch is definitely the one I want though so I'm excited that it's finally arriving).

Surprised by the how many have had their credit cards declined.
Were these cards attached to the Apple Store, entered at check out or Apple Pay?

Mine was et up as pay whe I originally placed my order to try to speed up the order process. Since I don't use the cc often I deleted it as an pay Card. I even confirmed with
if this would cause any issues. They said no. So not sure if that is why it was declined or if it was because it has been 40days since it was originally pre-auth.
Same here. I just switched to PFS and my Apple Pay is linked to a Citi card. Never called to warn them and it went through fine for me. Heading to bed now, hoping to wake up to an actual shipping email information!
