Any concerns about metal-on-metal wear with the SBSS Watch and Nomad stand (AKA: scratching)? Any thoughts on how well they pair together visually (different shades of black)? I'm debating between the Nomad and the Mophie (my Watch is being delivered tomorrow).

Guys.

Just thought I would give you all some feedback. I'm in the UK.

Watch ordered 11th June, went to Dispatched 22nd June, and delivered 30th June.

I missed the 30th June first delivery, and re-arranged for delivery today.

Turned out to be a good decision, as this morning I also picked up the Nomand Watch Stand from our local post office, shipped from the good old US of A, so stand has only been sat around waiting for the watch for a couple of hours before it arrived.

Here's a PIC

Isn’t' she a beaut.. ?

Hope the rest of you get your watches soon.

Metal-on-metal wear... Naaa. as long as your relatively careful. If your ham-fisted, and throw it on/grab it off then maybe, and even then I'd be surprised.

If you "lift first" then pull it away, you hardly get any contact anyway.

Regarding the colour.. well OK it's not a perfect match, but hell the only other option was Silver. It's close enough for my critical eyes, and most of the time when on the stand will be in the dark anyway when I'm giving it ZZZzzzzzz's... so doesn't bother me that much anyway.

Thanks! I may give it a shot. I certainly prefer the design over the Mophie.

Nah, paint a Spigen stand - it's got a nice rubber top. :) No metal on metal. :)

I highly recommend the TwelveSouth Hi-Rise in black. I just got my SBSS today, but I haven't had any scratching with my SSLB that I've been charging on it every night for the last few weeks. It has some sort of silicon on any part that touches the watch, and there's a leather pad for the band to rest on as well.
I'll take some pics of the SBSS charging on it when I get home from work very late tonight.

That would be great! Thank you. Truth be told, I've long been a Twelve South fan (I have their SurfacePad for MacBook, iPhone and iPhone + their PlugBug, Compass 2 and BackPack), but I'm just not convinced the HiRise for Watch is stylish enough for my liking. Perhaps your pics will sell me on the idea...

There's something about the Spigen that just doesn't do it for me. Perhaps the aluminum is too thin for my taste. Or perhaps the absence of wire management bugs me. I'm not sure. But I'm not a fan (though your mod makes it more appealing than ever).
If you make the cable black, it blends into the stand - making cable management somewhat moot (I was planning on adhering the cable to the back, left corner of the stand originally). Turned out, it blends in pretty well. :)

Apologies for the delay (and how badly I need to dust)! Snapped a couple quick pics for you.

Sorry to hear that you had that problem twice. I have seen very little reports of problems with the coating, although I acknowledge having seen a few. I have had mine for 6 weeks and looks as great as when it came out of the box. Good Luck with whatever you choose to replace it with.
