It isn't optimism. It's pretty much a given. We're up to 2:09 for US orders. The July "flip" happened between 2:09 and 3:08. Unless 2-3am PST was actually, somehow, a lot of orders the next wave of shipments is going to see the first July orders shipped.
I think the first-day purchasers should be in good shape by next week. My details so far are:
Ordered 3:15 p.m. CDT 6/9: Available to ship 5 -6 weeks, Delivers: 22 Jul, 2015 - 29 Jul, 2015 by 2-3 Business Days
Updated Status 8:30 a.m. CDT 6/11: Available to ship 3 -4 weeks, Delivers: 14 Jul, 2015 - 21 Jul, 2015 by 2-3 Business Days

We've talking about the 42mm space black with link bracelet. New orders are still 3-4 weeks out (as are many of us that ordered back in April).

You didn't order until June 9th and you have an e-mail from Apple saying that your watch is shipping in 1-2 weeks?
Anyone else get one of those?
There's people that ordered almost 2 months before you that still have 5-6 weeks listed on the site.
Are you sure you didn't order the 38mm??
Not sure if you can make out the details, but I posted a copy of my current order status page above. The e-mail text was cut and pasted in my original message. My guess is that you early buyers will receive yours before me (and other recent purchasers), but that most, if not all, outstanding orders will arrive by June 26.
Would you mind posting a screen cap of that email? If you ordered 4 days ago, and you're getting yours within 1-2 weeks, us early buyers should be getting ours like....tomorrow

I was actually hoping this would be good news for you long-time waiters, as I've been following the thread and can understand the angst. I can't imagine that current orders would be filled before past ones.

Wow! I couldn't disagree more. I think you're the first person I've heard of who hasn't felt the exact opposite.
I hope you guys are right! I ordered at x4:25:00 on April 10. Mine is still showing a July 7-14 delivery window. I haven't gotten any email with a faster time.........
It IS really good news, it's just odd that this is the first that we've heard of it. (no-one else in here having received an e-mail like that from Apple).
Hopefully it means we'll see more charges, come Monday!
This supports what I said last night. We should all be getting our watches within the next two weeks.
Hope it is sooner for all of us. Next week will be big.⌚️

@danmart Hmm. Another plane taking the Korea route. Interesting that UPS made a routing change. Shouldn't impact your delivery timeline though.
Seems there wasn't any activity last night. (I wonder if Apple has a deal with the banks to not do a lot of charges on the weekends?). We should see some late tonight / wee hours of the morning - maybe not with our watches, but others.

I've just checked, and it hit Koeln, Germany, at 6pm
Hope you all receive yours this week! Mine came on Thursday and it has been a delight using it. Just a note: I did make the Personal Online Setup appointment they will offer you. They couldn't schedule me until today (Sunday) but it gave me time to sort things out and jot down a few questions that I was not clear on. I almost canceled (thought I had everything figured out) but glad I didn't. Ben - the Apple Specialist was able to give me some tips I had not seen online before. So I would encourage you to schedule, even if you are at the "specialist" level yourself.
