Stand up and do some up/down calf stretches in place for about a minute. Stronger calves. Definitely reads that minute. ;)

So Iv'e figured it out. Apparently your arms have to be somewhat perpendicular to the ground for it to count as stand. If you raise your arm parallel to the floor or higher (like you're carrying something) then it won't count. So walk around normally with your arm down your side, and it will count!

That's a bit strange, but I'll give it a try.

I just got mine yesterday, and I was looking forward to watching my move and stand credits build throughout the day.

I have a standing desk at work, and here I stood... and my watch tells me that it's time to stand up. I walked around my office for a minute to try to convince it that I am standing up - but to no avail. I didn't get credit for standing for an hour today, during a time that I literally stood for the entire hour.

Disappointing.

Like others have said, once you get the reminder, you have to stand up and walk around for a little bit.

It has always worked for me....I get the reminder, I stand up and just walk around the general area, then I get the notification that I've stood for a minute and I go sit back down.

You have to let your hands down to your side so it can detect that you're standing.

Also it will *only* remind you to stand if you've gone 50 minutes into the hour without standing. If you've stood at any point during the hour before the last 10 minutes, you won't get reminded. (but you should get credit for standing in the activity app)

I just tested it out: I am at a desk with my arm resting on the desk, I dropped my arm to hang down by my side, and it updated that I stood this hour.

Some times it tells me I've completed the standing and some times it doesn't. I haven't seen anything that tells me what its based on. But usually by end of day I have completed the circle so it hasn't really bothered me much.

Based on what I just posted, it's based on a change in your arm position to be more like you are standing than sitting (like your arm by your side at least for a bit)

Interesting. I'll try playing around with it next time it tells me to stand. Thanks!
