Standby Mode on my iPhone 14 Pro is not working.

Switched the phone off and on. Toggled Standby in Settings along with low power mode, but nothing works. It's charging via lightning cable, on standby and in landscape.

Any help would be appreciated.

Found this on google
To activate StandBy when enabled, your ‌iPhone‌ needs to be locked and charging on a MagSafe or Qi-based wireless charger, or a Lightning charger. The main things to remember are that the ‌iPhone‌ needs to be locked, fixed in a stationary horizontal (or landscape) orientation, and positioned at an angle (i.e. not on a flat surface), so a charging stand is necessary in most cases.

I haven't updated my iPhone 14 Pro but my son updated his iPhone 14 and I can confirm that standby mode works on his device when charging on a MagSafe charger.

Any help? Standby clock shows California time. In my clock setting I only have NY so not sure why standby displays California time.

Yes I've got it working now thank you. I had the same issue as you. Press and hold on the clock until it wiggles and then remove that widget and replace it with one called Clocks. It should be in your time zone.

Standby mode is working for my iPhone 14 Pro, however for some reason I only have two choices:

Widgets
Clock

I seem to be missing the Photos option, anyone know why this may be or how to get it back?

Does it specifically need to be charging? Dont fancy my 14 Pro Max battery cooking all day.

You found a fix for this? Same thing here

Is there a way to swap the contents of the Left column with the Right column?

I want the Clock on the Left and the Weather Forecast on the Right and they are both on the Left side presently.

They are both just widget stacks, so you can long press to make one side jiggle and swap things around!

Realizing that it won't stay on unless you have a pro model with always on display is a bummer. I'm due for an upgrade but always stick with a base model. I was already hesitant because i don't want to lose my mini, but this feature is much less useful (borderline annoying) if i can't keep it always on.

I have it horizontally on a MagSafe charger and it runs for a little over a minute and then the screen turns black. I saw a YouTube video which says that the Standby Always On needs to be selected or it just goes off. I don't have that setting on my phone though.

Well, that would explain why it just turns off in my case. You must have a Pro Model? Why even bother with this feature on all of the other models then as it is useless.

With the Always On display (on iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max), StandBy stays on to show useful information. For all other iPhone models, it's easy to bring up StandBy anytime by tapping the screen, gently nudging the table your iPhone is on, or using Siri.

There is a shortcut so it stays on

Yes has to be on charge. Remember the iPhone will not overcharge by design, it will charge to about 94% then trickle. It will learn your use habits and charge to 100% based on when and how you use it.
