The iPad 1 does not exist in Apple's eyes. iPad starts at iPad 3. The iOS 6.0 requirement should tell you that, no matter what iPad they are reffering to.

My iPad2 ran great on iOS6 and so far is running fine on iOS7, not to mention what bflowers said as well. Pretty inaccurate statement I'd say.

I swear nobody actually reads anymore. My statement on iPad1 is beyond dispute. I was not referring to iPad2. I'm not even sure what you're arguing? I was talking specifically about the original iPad.
But just to be clear one more time: The ORIGINAL iPad, aka iPad 1, does NOT RUN IOS6. You can't upgrade to it from iPad 1. It is not supported and will not install, hence,
