Starbucks fail!

I am doing the same. The location feature is of no use to me.
 
I find the key ring app a lot more useful than passbook. I have about 10 discount/reward/membership cards on my phone that I don't need to carry in my wallet or on my key chain. Very convenient and you don't have to worry about losing them, unless of course you lose your phone. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the recommendation. Just downloaded it and took a bunch of crap out of my wallet. :D
 
I too thought it was strange they updated for Passbook but not the increased iPhone 5 screen size.

Although truth be told, since the Passbook integration works as seamlessly as I had hoped, I have no need to go back into the Starbucks app itself except to check on my "stars" balance.

Yep. Every time I turned on the screen to check the time that location arrow was up there. Removed from passbook and will be using the Starbucks app. Much more functional anyway.

look again you will see black bars on the top and bottom.
did you not read the 1st post, no where did I say the app didn't work. It says they update the app to include passbook but its still not formated for iphone 5.

New user for this app. It will not let me create a mobile card. Always gives me a connection error. I have tries using wifi and LTE to connect, nothing.

Why have the feature if it doesn't work. Also looking at store hours, won't load for me either.

This app is a mess for new users without an actual starbucks card to enter.
 
Do you people have nothing better to do than to complain because the Starbucks app didn't update yet to support the iPhone 5 longer screen.

Look at the Starbucks screenshot, if they updated it, all it would do is move the already black space somewhere else within the screen. It's not like the app doesn't work at all.

I'm sure 95% or more of the users of this app are not using an iPhone 5 yet so I can see why updating it for an iPhone 5 screen is not a big priority at this point. So what if there is a black line at the bottom and top of screen (a.k.a. letterboxed). At least the app works.

I have an iPhone 5 and it doesn't bother me in the least. At least the app works and updating it to iOS 6 allows the passbook feature.

Come on already people. Keep calm and have a latte.

The app doesn't work, that is the problem

It does seem odd, but perhaps they looked at their current userbase and decided it was too soon to drop support for older devices (first and second gen iPhones and iPod touches).
 
Passbook Starbucks app doesn't work

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought the purpose of the Passbook was to load the appropiate card when you were in the store. I have the Starbucks card loaded into Passbook, went to Starbucks, nothing happened. No Starbucks on lock screen, no pop up of card. Had to go to the Passbook app & open it to bring up the Starbucks card. Also, after paying balance doesn't update. What's the point of Passbook? At least when you pay with the Starbucks app the balance updates.:mad:

Did you set your favorite locations in the Starbucks's app? Is passbook in your notifications turned on and is Starbucks turned on for location services?
And yes, it will update your card balance. It's not instant like within the Starbucks app but it does.
