Apple fans get a bad rep for liking Apple products. Ok then.
Frankly, I'm a bit more worried about the people who think that's an insult for some reason.
I didn't mean for it to be a personal attack. But look at his comments. He needs Apple to tell him it's cool to have a bigger screen. He needs them to phrase it in a way that makes him feel better about his purchase. It's not the design he appreciates, it's that Apple told him that the design was fine so he'll go along with it. That's not just from this thread, it's from comments he made in another thread as well. I didn't mean to come off as a jerk, but the way he puts things, he is the very type of person that makes people frown upon huge apple fans. I'm an Apple guy myself, just not an iPhone guy. I appreciate their design aesthetics, and I personally like the design of the new iPhone. I don't buy Apple products because it's cool to own them. I buy them because for me and what I use them for, they are the best. I don't need some man in a mock turtle neck and jeans to tell me when the best time to buy a product is. He does, and there are too many people out there who do the same. And that's the type of behaviour that should be frowned upon.

I think the whole message board/comment board function of the Internet is just out of hand! Anyone can get on and anonymously insult others. OP, I think it's great you like the design. Some don't. Others don't like Apple at all. That doesn't mean you should be called childish or otherwise insulted for your opinion. I have liked the design since the first time I saw it. You're not alone.
Yes, really! And I already apologized to him. And I would have said it in his face if given the opportunity. Like I said it's not that he likes it, it's why. And how he said it. I like Apple too, otherwise I wouldn't be on here.

Yeah but I remember feeling underwhelmed the same way when the 4 came out but when I held it in my hand I loved it, --not because of the hype, (in fact I was underhyped) but because of the actual design.
I suspect the same thing will happen here. I have no reason to doubt since the very last time I bought a phone from them, it wowed me, so until they they lose the streak, I have no reason to doubt the masters.
If the leaks are real, and it sounds like they are, I suspect that the real changes to the phone will be internal. The more I read about the new iPhone there more potential I think it has. I get the feeling that even though the external appearance probably isn't changing much, the user experience might.
Still, I wonder about the wisdom of limiting the screen size. It just doesn't make sense to me ... unless the iPhone 5 docks with the new 7" iPad, thereby forming the CPU and GPU for the tablet. Remember, you heard it here first.
