Statue Honoring Steve Jobs Destined for Apple Headquarters Unveiled in Belgrade

What if the "appendages" were incorporated into the stand itself as negative space? In other words, make them "holes" in the stand. The alpha-numeric allusions would still be there, but in a more minimalist design.
 
Art is in the eye of the beholder… and so is creepy.

Does anyone know what the growth is suppose to be near the top?

Say what? I know that Steve was into both typography and binary-data-related-stuff, but come on.

10 to 16 feet tall??

Seems a bit imprudent if you ask me. He was an amazing person, no doubt, but a symbolic 16 foot shrine?

That would be a huge improvement. From a constructive point of view.

And on anther note.... the comments section does not disappoint today.

What the hell do Cyrillic letters have to do with Jobs?

Further, binary is the exact opposite of having anything to do with Jobs. He aimed to de-computerize the computer, to make it something that everyone could use rather than only engineers, scientists, and mathematicians.
 
As an artist I realize that 'art' is subjective, but com'on... really!?

God forbid it should end up as a five meter high monstrosity erect in the grand entrance to the Spaceship!

Please, if anyone in Marketing or Outreach or the Board at Apple is reading this thread, take note of the opinions of the common folk such as myself. It's the same thing your employees will be thinking to themselves each and every day they have to pass The Binary Mutant.

I suppose the one good thing about this is that it won't be long before Samsung places an even uglier variation of this in their HQ.

Just because someone calls himself a sculptor doesn't mean you have to accept that for fact.

I thought Steve was all about symmetry? That this is not symmetric and it is hideous. Hopefully US CBP denies importation due to the fact that it is too fugly :p
