    Hi All

All the games being released seem to revolve around old Mac Games or games that I can play via emulation or Bootcamp ( If I bought Windows )....

Just deleted this load of game tosh from my machine.....

Steam is actually very good. It was obviously first made for windows hence most of their good games are windows. They just recently started doing mac games and if you used macs for more than a few years you should know their games have never been top of the line or first released.

Moral of the story, Give it time.

I am really not sure what you expected, you say you could play them all via Bootcamp, so how many Mac exclusive titles were you expecting?

If you have Bootcamp and a copy of Windows you might as well use that for Steam as the drivers are much better for Windows, Steam for OSX is for people who don't want to buy windows but do want to play some games from time to time (most of the Mac community at a guess).

Again, I don't know what you thought you would be playing on it...?

He probably figured that with the release of Steam all of the games available would be released. If only.

This. Seriously OP, you should have seen steam when it first came out for mac. Buggy as **** and a single 3 hour game available (which was also buggy). So much has happened since, and will continue to happen.

    Hi All

OK, you people have convinced me to stick with it.

I did post in a fit of temper because one of my purchased games no longer works.

Will make a different thread for that.

I've never liked* Steam, but I realize that it's a choice that allows you now to play more games than you could before natively in OSX. I wanted to play Half Life 2 so I was willing to put up with it (before native Mac Steam existed). All you have to do is find one Mac compatible game that you want to play that could not be played before to make it worth it.

*The reason I don't like it could be considered petty- no ability to sell used games.

    Hi Ya

I do not sell used games, but, but, I do collect games and such so cannot put them on my shelves, also a petty reason for not liking to download stuff.

In my opinion you can still kinda collect games, having a massive Steam games list is as impressive as that many boxed games in my opinion. And most of the time you can't sell PC/Mac games anyway.

    Which is awesome.

That would be awesome! I could get rid of my Windows only games I can't play anymore and buy Mac games with it.

Where did you hear that? I've tried to find any substantial hints at this rumour but all I could find was people hoping it would happen.

    Links please.

It seems not to be the case actually, I read the rumour from the analyst but I hadn't read this article till just now (searching for the first one).
