Can anyone here confirm steam doesn’t put ‘bloatware etc’ on your mac.
I don’t install apps that fire ads and crap at me.
If I get an HTC Vive I will need steam vr to run it.

Here ya go, fellow Snow cat ^.^ Now, there are some things to keep in mind... it isn't very compatible with newer games so don't bother installing things like Civilization VI or Cities Skylines. Also I haven't attempted to make a purchase using it, I just downloaded my existing games.

I used steam in the past and it was ok. When people don't like companies, or have their view, you can always make the claim about ad's.
You can put ads in your own game, but I think the policy is 'if ad's are popping up, then treat it as a computer infection.' or malware (which both Windows and Mac platforms can get)
