Steam games crashing on 2011 MBP / ATI 6750M ... anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah I will play in Windows from now on. The mac-version of DA is a useless cider port with half the fps of the Windows version with the same settings...

Black screen?

Have had this problem, and another one as well... I leave my system on overnight, running the BOINC grid stuff. Use the F1 key to turn my display off when I go to bed, but on two of the 7 mornings I have had the system when I got up it refused to come out of a black screen. System seemed to be still running, just could not wake up the display. Have a Genius bar appointment for this afternoon for a network card issue, will also talk to them about this situation and the game problem.

I'm also having this problem but its when i play WoW and only when the descrete card is the game will lock up the computer and ill have to power it down. If i only use the integrated card it works just fine no problems with it hard freezing.

I'll add my voice to the chorus here. I've only played SC2 up to this point, so I assumed it was a problem unique to that game (never played it until I got this new system). It only seems to occur some of the time, and mostly when I mess with video settings. However, last night it did crash without me changing any settings at all. I'm actually glad this is an Apple problem, since I don't have much faith in Blizzard after their ridiculous case-sensitive volume issue.

had a couple of graphics-related lockups. nothing major. I'm sure it'll be resolved in a software update.
