Hoping to get Left 4 Dead 2 for real cheap.

I gave up on L4D due to team kills and annoying people that joins game with full health, runs ahead, takes all health and ammo and left you to die.

There's basically a sale every month, if not more often.
 
L4D2 was recently on sale for 50% off (maybe 75%).

My guess would be somewhere in the summer.

Oh and pick up the first game instead. Much better atmosphere/pacing.
 
Last year it took place whilst I was on holiday in July (you've no idea how bad internet connections are on desert islands near Africa).

even summer camp sale was over. batman AA was only $7.50 two days ago (75% midweek madness). so technically, Steam has discounted almost year around.
 
Steam has sales all the time on random stuff. I normaly just open Steam every few days to see if anything good is on sale.

There's a daily sale, a weekend and midweek sale, random sale events all the time on Steam. But the Summer and Winter Sales have 80% of the library discounted.
