Steelseries Nimbus controller

Can anyone with the Nimbus controller tell me if it works with gaming on OS X / Windows (via bootcamp) also?

I bought two for my kids, but it seems multiplayer games just support using one mfi controller and the Siri remote or iPhone as remote.
I am not sold on them.
