If you'rs referring to the "legacy" comments then you can't be so daft as to ignore the timing of this. First biography authorized by Steve himself... Hope it's just a coincidence.

I'm talking about the seemingly general consensus floating around that paints steve as a completely arrogant and insufferable person, regardless of firsthand accounts to the contrary.

It seems when it comes to the inner workings of Apple, he truly is a highly demanding perfectionist. Outside of apple, however, from everything I've read online of people's chance run ins with him he seems like quite a likable and genuinely nice person. I've read about him striking up casual conversations with people when he shows up at Apple stores and how he insists that people call him "steve" when addressed as "mr. Jobs".

I'd like to read more about what his personal life and professional philosophies are, straight from the source.

Will it be available in the iBooks store?

Yes, and it will only cost $1 more than the print version.

I don't like authorized biographies. At the best, they only tell one side of the story and aren't as insightful as the unauthorized biographies that will come out in a year or two later.

At their worst, authorized biographies are fairly tales. Almost as much reality as reality TV.

I'll pass. I don't really care. I am slowly moving away from Apple's products, the company is turning into Microsoft of the 90's.

I don't need to read an ass kissing book about Jobs.

Ok new title ideas

1) Steve Jobs - A Biography
2) Steve Jobs - Think Different
3) Steve Jobs - How one man transformed industries
4) How Steve Jobs put the "i" in Apple

There are just so many titles out there that are possible. I don't get why they have to put in a religious connotation into this. And iSteve just seems so tacky and not what I would believe Steve would like... :(

Now that The Social Network has cemented the idea that biopics don't require the main subject to be deceased, maybe we'll get a Steve Jobs/Apple movie that also covers the post-Pirates-Of-Silicon-Valley era. With an actual budget and acclaimed writers, director and cast! I'm being half tongue-in-cheek, but the geek in me would drool over this. Although, being an optimist, I think there is a lot more fodder to come with Apple and Jobs! Why not interview him in depth now and until his, hopefully a long time from now, passing, and then have the whole story. I guess because he and Apple are peaking.

@HiVolt I worry that the growth that Apple is seeing will affect their ability to be innovative. So for though they have been keeping on track. I'm curious to see how the new year rolls out for them.

What the---! Why didn't they call it the name it was intended to have!?

..."The Bible 2" or "The New New Testament!"

"The Jobs is my shepard, I shall not want... unless it has an Apple logo or iOS 4.3+"

I don't like the name, but think a biography with Job's approval is awesome! Will definitely be buying it and reading it.
