I've never seen Aiden Shaw be obnoxious, he just happens to correct Apple fanboys when they are going to far up Jobs arse. That tends not to sit well here.

Surely you comprehended my post more clearly than your response indicates.

Welcoming a liver transplant patient back to his family and community isn't going up anybody's "arse" - that may be a location reserved for..... :rolleyes:

Ballmers antics - yuk.

Glad to hear hes back...

however Kidneys will not provide support for some of the livers new features until later this summer. He got one anyway...for a high price, just to wait on these features. However the new liver is uber fast and the same shape as the old one.

If he was in the UK he could have had the kidneys doing their job right away.

just what i heard.

Wtf?

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that he's getting back into the swing of things...but not b/c he's Steve Jobs, but rather because I don't wish bad on anyone.

That said, why does everyone on the forum act like they actually care? Like it has any sort of effect on you whatsoever? Like he gives 2 ***** about anyone on this forum. It just blows my mind how people act as if they know him, what he is thinking, how he feels about what Apple has done. As I've seen over and over again, nobody on this forum has a clue on what apple is thinking or Steve Jobs for that matter, so don't act like you do.

Steve Jobs is back, great, good for him...why will this thread be 200 posts long within an hour though????

Off my rant

These people, including me, have been impacted positively by Apple over the years. And the "leader" was ill now well again. So why wouldn't Apple supporters wish him well?!? It doesn't matter if he checks macrumors forums or not. It's more the sentiment of the moment than a physical handing someone a get-well card.

I hope your loved ones don't treat you so callously if you're ever ill.

CNBC reports that Steve Jobs has indeed returned to work at Apple today. His return had been suggested as he was attributed a quote for Apple's press release today about the iPhone 3GS sales. Jim Goldman of CNBC, however, is able to confirm his presence on Apple's campus according to multiple employees.This would fulfill his original promise to return to Apple in June, but with the recent report about his medical condition he may only be back in a limited fashion.

Article Link: Steve Jobs Back at Work at Apple

is it really such a big deal for all of us? I don't think so

Great!!! :) Welcome Back Steve!

The world's best CEO is back at work in the world's best, richest and most innovative IT company...congrats, SJ; now it's time to continue MOPPING THE FLOOR with the ridiculous "competition" that Apple faces.

- best notebooks and desktops in the world: Macs;
- best smartphone in the world: iPhone;
- best media players in the world: iPods;
- best OS in the world: Snow Leopard.

It's good to be superior.

As for the pictures of Steve Ballmer: honestly grow up, kids. Can't you celebrate the return of Mr J without descending into idiocy? It's no surprise that the people you would expect to post this kind of rubbish in this topic are exactly the people who have.

It was quite honestly my fault. I posted the original "thumbs-up" photo of Ballmer as an innocent joke...It didn't occur to me that the fanboys would take it and run with it... :eek:

Of course it doesn't sit well here:

1 - This is MacRumors, not Windows SuperSite; we "fanboys" don't waste our time bashing Microsoft outside these realms; we are absolutely legitimized to defend the platform we prefer, either via this website or other Mac-centered areas;

2 - Aiden's eternally-biased wikipedia-powered contributions have never recognized any achievement by Apple, especially given that, as a non-user, he has no clue about the Mac experience. Therefore, it's not about "correcting" Apple fanboys, it's about trolling with neverending diatribes against anything that is released by Cupertino. Well, actually it might even be amusing: John C. Dvorak's enlightened op-ed comments were, too, a lot of fun back in the olden days of MacUser.

Meh....

Now the tens of thousands of Apple employees who actually make it happen won't be noticed - the spotlight is back on the Lord God Jobs.

Sigh....

Cheap shot. Wow...so anyone who gains any level of public visibility or accomplishment has done so with the aid of others, to greater or lesser degrees. Who would have thought? Every CEO, every athlete, every politician, every advocate for every cause, including you and me. Of course some people might just have had more to do with their own success than others. Are you part of the great unwashed and un-or-under appreciated? Feeling like there should be a rise from the proletariat or something? Maybe Apple could have a "You're really special" day for each employee. And maybe designate a Stuart Smalley Self-Affirmation Quiet Zone.

Geez Aiden, lighten up.

Yes, we like Apple products, but we shouldn’t “defend” them with cheap shots at other companies and saying APPLE IS THE BEST! THEY ARE THE PERFECT COMPANY! GO APPLE! I feel that we should instead list their advantages and acknowledge their disadvantages if we want to inform people about Apple products. We should also criticise Apple when they do something wrong instead of mindlessly cheering for and defending them.

Unfortunately, a lot of Apple users seem to prefer defending their favourite company the other way: "Apple is the best and you are an idiot for using [insert company name here]’s products."

Good news indeed. Whilst I don't think Apple are nearly as dependent on Steve Jobs as some people make out he certainly is a huge driving force and motivator.

Seems he's already done that.

BRLawyer, do you write the keynotes?

Damn he may be back only for temp this sh*t must be bad, wonder how long he's got. Somethings never meant to be told, truth what lies behind for untold secrets to the people.

I hate how our freedom gets taken away on these forums there was a comment wasn't even hateful but expressing the facts of how people can never grow up at the least. Nothing hateful no cussing or anything yet gets pulled from this topic. Yeah lets pull out the favor card. Very funny macrumors.

Sometimes liars nonetheless, but sane.... ;)

You know they had to get it from somewhere... :D

w00t Liver 2.0! :)

Haha I need the iLiver app
for my iPhone 3gs hope it supports it. Ironically speaking
I think i'll make an app so when steve jobs is making a speech and is low on health you take him to a hospital and open him up like in that DS game and put a new liver in him. But might get boring after a while.
