Truth be told, he is one of three people who steered me towards a career in IT

Bought a Mac Plus in 87 at the age of 13 with a loan from my parents. Started with Apple II's and a TI99 4/A prior to that.

I've always been more of a Woz person but Steve will definitely be missed.

My favorite Steve story: http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2011/08/the-creativity-of-anger/

Many people thanked James Doohan for being their inspiration to get into Engineering. I would like to think that Steve and Woz also inspired more than a few engineers in their time.

Be thankful for your time on this planet. Millions/billions in the bank don't mean anything if you have something money cannot fix.

I'm not going to believe this is true until 12 hours later and there is certain confirmation. For all we know, this could be a hoax.

I have never been so gutted upon learning of the passing of somebody I didn't actually know. Steve Jobs did great things and changed the world for the better.

Awful news

I thought the announcements yesterday seemed rather low key. We are all saddened by this news. Thank you Steve!!!
:(

He may not be on this earth any longer but he will live on for decades to come. He was in a small league of true visionaries and it was a privilege to live in his time. Truly a sad day for the world.

damn. RIP. Jobs made an awesome company that puts out kick @ss, revolutionary stuff. a life well lived, no doubt.

A sad day, indeed.

Today, we lost a man I truly idolized. After watching his keynotes for so many years I feel as if he was a distant relative of mine...and I cant help but feeling choked up and teary eyed.

R.I.P. Mr. Jobs

Now cracks a noble heart. Goodnight, sweet Prince. And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. RIP Steve Jobs. Thanks for everything.
