One writers take on Apple without Steve...

"With Jobs gone, expect an exodus of talent at Apple. “He held a lot of talented people in the company,” Enderle says. “They have been leaving quietly for months in anticipation of his departure."

"I expect that will accelerate now.”

"Unfortunately for Apple, Jobs also didn’t help the company prepare for life without him."

“Steve Jobs redesigned Apple around his unique skill set, and then not only didn’t mentor a replacement but blocked the board from creating one,” Enderle says.

“That has just become a problem. Apple will have to change. Like Disney after Walt, that change is likely to eventually be very painful.”

OK, Apple enthusiasts what's your take on this article?

I was just reading the leadership and management section of CIO the other day.

    Kidding.

Really though, this guy is obviously pushing a shock piece.

OP and anyone else, if you believe this then do yourself a favor and stay away from all things business. These people have minds best suited for serving me hot wings at my local bar.

Rob Enderle. The name of the author says it all. Nowadays he is far behind Florian Mueller in the - throw crap and hope that anything sticks - department, but he was quite a well known and well paid troll in his time, and plenty of people took him actually serious.

Tim Cook has basically been running Apple for how long now? 2 years is it?

Yeah, this guy has absolutely no idea what he's talking about. He can't even make up believable stuff.

Tim Cook has been running Apple for at least two years and two months. He's been at the company since 1998 and has seen Jobs do his work first-hand, and probably spent a lot of time around Jobs.

Beyond that there's not much more to say, other than "time will tell."
