I bought my phone on June 29th. I'll give Apple/atnt till july 25th to reasonably fix the issue or i'll return the phone...

Pretty simple??

You have a 30 day window to return it folks.. why are you freaking out??

If you look at the, I'm presuming, cop and paste of the emails you can see none of them say '-Steve' at the end.
You could argue that this is because they didn't copy and paste that bit, but on the third reply from Steve you see 'sent from my iphone'. Now this comes after '-Steve'.
So again I'm calling fake.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

OOOH...they confirmed it! Oh ok then, I'll just believe that because it says confirmed.

No thanks.

Then dont believe anything you've seen on the internet about these Steve Jobs emails if you want to deny everything that comes out.

Including the e-mails about Steve saying "You're holding it wrong"

But I'm sure you probably believe those

If this is real, there was no need for the person sending Steve the mails being such an arse.

I'm quite impressed with the replies (again, if it is real).

Because... it's the iPhone. Some people are truly stuck between a rock and a hard place. Keep the new shiny with its issues or go to last year's model or perhaps another device?

It could be a life altering decision for some people. :D

Steve Jobs would NEVER say the iPhone is "just a phone."
It's fake, the reader who submitted it is a jackass.

How could you be so sure? I mean, really...

+1
A lot of the text in those emails posted by BGR are very much unlike Steve Jobs. No chance those are from him.

lol what a jackass (the guy, not steve jobs).

I am a bit suspicious though, I mean "it's just a phone". I don't think Steve would refer to Apple's money maker as "just a phone".

Apple to comment about perceived antenna problems on July 25th

One day after you'd be able to return the phone and cancel your AT&T account. :p:p:p

I don't understand why apple and Steve can't just come out and say that there is a problem and they're going to fix it. Let's be honest, with lawsuits looming, and the media and Internet lighting up over this, they have to do something.

Considering that Boy Genius Report is one of the sites from which Arn posts his own rumors, etc, I'm willing to believe this. They're legit.

But you have to remember peoples return dates are drawing closer and closer.

Also that article is fake. Too wordy for Steve plus 'Retire, relax, enjoy your family. It is just a phone. Not worth it.' Not something Steve would say in my opinion.

I love how you people think you know Steve Jobs. I also love how you people think that's actually him responding to emails.

Compared to a long past of how he communicates to the public, through candid emails, keynotes and Apple press releases.

Keynotes and press releases are rehearsed, polished, and gone over plenty of times to say exactly what they want to say. Emails are usually not. His company is also being blasted in the press over the phone's issues, and he's undoubtedly getting a lot of emails from unhappy people about this. Pressure can get to anybody, and when you consider that Jobs isn't exactly the most humble guy on the planet......

Fake or not - the only way to know for sure is to wait for a "fix" to come out.

I've had my i4 for a few days now, talked on it for roughly 40hrs or so and have had zero problems.
That ranged from me being at the gym, the office, the car, home, etc...

Can I recreate a degradation of signal? Sure.
Does it effect me so much that I am going to email Apple and complain about it? Of course not.

When I was on the phone with Apple for an unrelated issue I asked the technician about it and she said she had definitely heard of the problem, had the issue with her personal iPhone but she said she wasn't sure if anything would or could be done about it.
She said hers was much like mine, a bar or two...not a complete loss.

Bottomline is, I love the phone and I love Apple.

This is my first post so you all don't know how huge it is for me to say I love Apple.
My brother is an executive at Microsoft, I have had PC's my entire life (still do for now), my entire family is a "PC Family" but I have already made the decision...from here on out, for me, it's Apple all the way.

Fink :apple:

Also, the guy who submitted it has terrible grammar and spelling. You would think he would spell check before firing off an email to his God.
