Obviously, if you have 19 x i7's then no, they can't beat that.

Just turned on the 6 o'clock news and the anchor was shedding tears live when talking about Steve Jobs stepping down as CEO. How embarrassing.

Very sad news indeed to see such a genius on the way out. I really hope thta he is around in the years to come to offer move innovation.
Long live the King! I've been dealing with Apple since my early 20's. Either directly by selling them or indirectly by using them. It was a sad day when Steve was forced out and it's a sad day today. I can't say I literally shed a tear but I definitely had a deep emotional response upon hearing the news. Even in passing when I think about Steve Jobs stepping down I feel a slight sense of loss. Steve has charisma. He makes you feel you're a part of his dream. You want to do your part to make his dream yours. However, now He's starting to let his dream child exist without him. Hopefully his spirit will remain apart of Apple for years to come. Long live the King... Long live Apple!!!

Maybe, JUST maybe, Apple can get back to making cutting edge computers for video and audio professionals again.
Computers that can handle flash and Blu-ray without screaming "Cooties!!!" and running backwards with arms flailing while crying "This way to the future, fools!"
With software that takes a normal IQ to figure out how to use it fully. AND just works. Not dumbed down for three year-olds.
And with optical drives so everyday small businessmen can distribute content to potential customers cheaply and easily, customers far too busy to sit and wait around for downloads.
Maybe.

I think he did it because he loved it. Now it has become too much for him to do it the way he wanted to. He wasn't going to give it a half-assed effort, it was all or nothing. The mark of a true pro.
Unfortunately that's probably never going to happen. I'm also one of those that dislikes the way Apple is taking it's computer in particular desktop lines. Maybe with Jobs somewhat out of the picture things will change a bit.

However, when people think of Apple, they think of Jobs, not Cook. It's going to be like that for a while, like it or not.

Probably the new people in place are brainwashed into the Jobs way. So thinner laptops, no optical still, 1 thunderbolt port only. No ethernet (makes it thinner). It will look pretty, like a girl with amazing looks but dumb as a box of rocks.
On Win7 and still waiting for all these problems.....still waiting. Didnt see them from 1998-2009. A little break and still no problems. I even get choice its weird.
Do like my MBP 13 though I will say. Apple wont be my heavy lifter anymore though.
