How anyone could rationalize they deserve this exchange is beyond my comprehension.
 
even with the 3g, they would not allow color swaps

I had a white one that would shows cracks easily. After a few returns I asked if I could simply get a black version as they are less prevalent and they said no, I mut swap out for the same color
 
I don't get it why people are so serious about iPhone... It's JUST a phone, nothing else. It's normal that companies don't allow exchanges because the product has already been used and cannot be sold as new, it's just business, nothing more. I also don't understand why you have to be the first guinea pig to test something new. If you are not sure whether you want white or black, simply wait till both are available and compare them live and then decide.

Apple might be able to exchange it for a new one if you pay a restocking fee but they already got your money so why would they give you something for free?
 
OP, do you have entitlement issues?

Your ridiculous request is outrageous. You know the white is coming soon--why would Apple essentially loan you a Black one until then.

Steve must be feeling really talkative these days if he responded to this (or even one of his assistants for that matter). Seems like a cut and dry issue that any low level rep could answer.

Well, I want an iPhone 5. It's not my fault it's not out yet.

So I will buy the iPhone 4 and insist Apple to replace it with the iPhone 5 when it comes out.

Ray, I wouldn't call you the lowest of the low if it hadn't already been done. I see people like you all the time in retail stores, out in the world, and even once (thankfully, just once!) in my business. People like you are the problem with America today. You want everything handed to you on a silver platter, and never mind if you're causing a loss for the company, hurting others' ability to earn their incomes, etc.

Seriously dude, grow some patience, self-responsibility, and common sense. Then, lose your attitude and entitlement mentality. Then, there might be some hope for you after all.
 
So you think its ridiculous they MADE you buy a black one and not wont return it? But its not ridiculous that you deprived someone else (who actually wanted a black once) of a phone because you had to have one 3 weeks sooner?

I applaud this thread. This is the first time in a long time that I've seen some brat with major entitlement issues come on this forum, whining about something that Apple (or any other entity) "forced" him to do, and not a single person defended him or agreed that Apple sucks.

What a fail thread. If you want a white iPhone wait until it comes out, other wise you're stuck with the black one. Your frustration over no instant gratification is not Apple's problem.

Who wants your used, sweaty black iphone that has been contaminated with your germs?

You shouldn't be allowed to exchange it, and if you really wanted white, well then you should have waited. Don't blame others for your mistakes and your failures!

Steve Jobs and Apple is 100% correct in this instance!

Agreed. Apple doesn't owe you anything, OP. It is not their fault if you have the patience of a 2-year-old.
