Imagine where Apple would be if Steve was still alive.

Yes, the watchbands have been AMAZING!

Don't forget their close attention to emojis.

"Ubiquitous services such as iCloud and iMessage."

I think iCloud was smart on Apple's part. 20 years ago I would avoid multiple computers and just have one laptop because synchronizing wasn't as easy as it is now (although synchronizing to a handheld PDA was mostly in place). I think iCloud services was necessary to facilitate owning more than one Apple device.

iMessage is similar and I, like a lot of other users I've seen here, love it for being able to send/ respond to texts without having to leave their laptops or other devices.

I agree. They need to continue to improve and expand it, but I love the fact my 3 macs sync up without having to do everything myself through rsync or other techie mechanisms. I'd love a cloud-less sync feature, though, where machines on the same wireless network would sync EVERYTHING.

Of course 10 WasS is integrating all that even has "Phone Companion" for Iphones, Galaxy8 will unlock 10 perhaps Iphone later. Windows will offer as good of integration as Apl through Rs2, Rs3 ,Rs4 (due early 2018) Apl no longer will have that "handoff" advantage to itself..then comes FamTana with per user voice controls. Its a journey. I can make calls on my PC with insider build and get notifications from my 950..its seamless

Windows already has AllJoyn Router service running , just waiting for official IOT/Microsoft Pay/Microsoft MVNO push down the road..its like Christmas everyday on Insider builds...so much coming in next two years. $299 OEM VR 6-degree inside/out shells out in next few months (Hololens tech)..its accelerating not that we have WaaS...

The reason most of you went apl, are the same reasons most of you will eventually go Windows (its cool) . Just a matter of time. When your friends do, you will simple. At-risk apl users created daily, surface does that, 10 does that.

Here's a fun game : How many OSs does Apl need?

I love where Microsoft is taking Windows; they certainly have the right idea.

But I love the Mac not because it's cool (although it is), but because it is easier to use, better looking, smoother, and more stable than Windows has ever been for me. The fact that it's a UNIX flavor also is a plus.

However, I have not used Win 10 consistently (I use 7 at work), but what I've seen is impressive. That said, I HATE the XBox ONE UI. I prefer the simplicity of PS4.

I also use Android instead of iOS, due to the latter's limitations. So, I see where you are going, but I think Apple just needs a few steps towards convergence that will put them on the right path. I think they're moving that way, but they're taking their time so as to milk their hardware sales and upgrade path trajectories (which I HATE). And yet, things are getting out of hand, price-wise.

I'm glad to see the changes in MSoft though, and I believe that soon they'll be Apple's equal (in my mind, at least).

I honestly cannot wait for that day, but it's not here yet for me.

RIP Steve

Tim has been running Apple the way Steve intended Tim to run it, how can you replace Steve Jobs? Tim's the best they have, who would you have run Apple? You got nothing, cry all you like about Tim but you got no one. I'm as disappointed as all of you with Apple's current line up, the iPhone is only thing left for them, the new Macbook Pro's have pushed me onto a Surface Pro 4. The current iPhone, if not for the speed and security of iOS would have pushed me away too, lucky for Apple android is still a mess. The Watch is still a fail to launch being lifted by day to day by the marketing department.

Two products: Apl2-Mac , Ipod-Maxipad. Luck, as these are simply variants of each the ran off aff fandom, pet rock had fans too then they got smarter...its just a stupid rock.
Never underesimate fans, the rock just go more expensive (inflation)

Lack of traffic?

You actually just compared Apple products to the pet rock?
