No idea...
But I'm not sure he actually needs the money.
A quick google search says his net worth is $100 mil.

As for being a one trick pony, one could say the same for so many successful people in the world.
I'd gladly be called that and worse, if my net worth was $100 mil. :)

If I recall correctly, he has a number of Apple II computers in his garage. That might fetch quite a bit on the eBay market if he was in need of money.

Woz was a lot more interesting when he didn't pop up every 15 minutes with some anecdote or story we've heard a million times before. The guy goes to any speaking engagement that's paying and tells the same stories over and over again. I don't think he has anything new to tell honestly.

I'm sure he's a nice guy, brilliant engineer in his day but give it a rest buddy, go into obscurity already.

How does that intrude into your life? dont click into every Woz article if you don't want to read it.

There's probably a story a day from back in those days. He gets a speaking fee, and the company putting on the show has to get some publicity (achieved). Welcome to capitalism.
Things were pretty dynamic back in the old days obviously, and having some of that organic story telling about thinking on the fly in trying to manage a business around ideas and technoolgy intertwined is always interesting from the one company in 100000000 that made it actually happen.

Refreshing also because goodness knows Apple is far too big, bloated and image conscious anymore to have any sort of of that creativity or risk taking seep out anymore...any brilliant or not so brilliant idea has to pass 6 different levels of engineers then onto senior engineers, then brand managers (after the assistant brand and marketing managers), then to the production and financial accountants, then onto upper middle management, and executives, before it sees the light of day...by that time's its watered down at best by the politicis and egos involved at each level, and thus far from organic.
