Because White is not Black.![]()
Most women would choose white iphone in a heartbeat. What's so hard to understand? or you think the iphone is for man only?
Different people have different tastes. Personally, I'd much prefer the white over the black.
Umm, fingerprints won't be as visible?
Yeah, it would have been much better if Jobs had designed, built, and programmed their first computers himself, and never hooked up with Woz.
Oh wait, Jobs can't do any of those things. Nevermind.
what am I missing? Why would one choose this over black?
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/8A293)
Make no mistake, Wozniak was the real talent when Apple first started. Jobs would be nowhere where he is today without Wozniak's brilliant mind from the beginning. Yet, Jobs seems to get all the credit nowadays.
Who led Apple back on track with an uninterrupted series of successful products?
People who think computers/phones are social/fashion statements instead of tools.

The one you later realize is your favorite relation when you grow up...
Computers are tools agree, but not completly.
Phones tools?

It seems Apple has won. Remember back in the day when phones were used for, you know, making phone calls? Don't people consider communication a tool anymore?
Today, no one is making white phones. The white iPhone will sell massively.
Your point is very valid (I didn't do any channel checks when I wrote that no one was making white phones today), however none of those phones "look" white - at least not in that iconic way that an Apple product does when it's released in a white version. Maybe it has something to do with Apple industrial design + white color. IDK.
I think it will be iPhone 1 -> iPhone 3GThe fact that Apple keeps pursuing the white iPhone might suggest that they're planning on using similar materials/designs for at least one more generation of iPhones.
So I think iPhone 5 is going to be a similar story as the transition from 3G to 3Gs (no design change - marginal speed bump). Probably a redesigned antenna though!
