I immeadiately thought of writer's block live when I saw this thread. He has a draft about the blue clicker, it has four buttons and Mike seems to indicate the the remote actually controls the slides, not just a signal to a tech in the back.

Hi, the first image is from 1975. Steve Wozniak with the original blue box. Now it stands as a SCEPTRE OF POWER for steve jobs!. a reminiscence of his early days when the blue box brought him and steve wozniak to the rapa nui. In the 2nd image you can see steve jobs and steve wozniak with another blue box. the one in Steve Job's keynotes may be a 2.0 of that old one. Anyway, i think there is a backstage clicker (a person) to control the slides.
