Still have artifacting and graphical issues with Lion (10.7.1)

It's pretty frustrating dealing with Apple Tech Support because they won't acknowledge this as a Lion problem. There's a lot of people with the same issue and this is the 2nd 2011 27" iMac (Full Spec'd) I have with the exact issue.

Yeah, this is a big issue. Happens on my 09 mbp. Lion, in the end, isn't for me...right now.
 
Just to check it isn't just Google Chrome, I used Safari and went to trailers.apple.com and downloaded a 1080p trailer and played it on Quicktime. I get the same artifacting and graphic corruption... sigh.

I have never had any of these problems. Is it only affecting those who upgraded from SL to Lion? Mine came with Lion preinstalled.
 
I upgraded from SL to Lion and had these same issues. I also had the freezing issue. I decided to do a clean install after a format to see if that would fix this issue and it didn't... at first. After the 10.7.1 update it froze a few times but it hasn't done it once since so I am not sure what is happening there. As for the artifacts and tearing I get them sometimes but nowhere near as prominent as yours.

And, for people asking. This whole artifacts/tearing/freezing issue has absolutely nothing to do with 3rd party software. When I was having issues after formatting and doing a clean install I purposely didn't install ANY software and it was still happening. It's an Apple issue. Now, that being said, the 3rd party software could be making it worse, BUT it's still an Apple issue first and foremost.

Do me a favor. If you use Google Chrome, watch a few youtube vids in 1080p. If you don't use Chrome. Go to trailers.apple.com. Watch a few 1080p trailers on Quicktime and see if you get any graphic corruption.

Several posters have already confirmed this issue, but that doesn't mean everyone will get it.

I'm no longer getting Finder artifacting like I was in Snow Leopard but I have had the menubar artifact in Lion. That's on a MacBook though.

Snow leopard works just fine in work and play for the time being. :rolleyes:

Snow Leopard had horrible Finder artifacting on MacBooks quite regularly. It certainly wasn't bug free like everyone wants to believe.
 
For those of you having this issue are you seeing a lot of errors in your Windows Server log?
