Still have my first iphone evah - the 4. Now 26 months old and the battery holds a great charge. I broke the 16-pin connector and replaced it from parts off ifixit.com. Works great hear in Panama. Selling it though to upgrade to a used 4S bought from another MR member. Maybe in 2 years I'll get the 5!

Still using the same 4S I got on launch day, zero issues with it. I've always (with the exception of maybe a day or two) kept it in a case with a screen protector, so that probably helps.

I had a whacky audio problem and got it replaced several times... in the end it turned out to be a carrier issue, otherwise I'd bet my original 4S would still be in my pocket.
