just wanted to give you all an update. I got my buddies 2g and found a blank att sim card. Threw it in there, activated it under my current phone number. Activation went through fine.

cut the sim card to fit my iphone4, plugged it in...VOILA!!!!!!! showing up as unlimited!

it is showing 2 unlimited iphone dataplans. hopefully the other one goes away. I did the the following text though on my phone....

"Did you know a dataplan is required for your iphone? we have add an appropriate data % messaging plan."

I activated the sim on the 2G iPhone and was able to get the $20 unlimited data. Then I put the sim in the iP4 and received the email and text about data not being compatible. When I log into OLAM, it shows I have the iP4, but it's still showing the $20 data plan. How long will it take to automatically switch to the $30 data plan?

after you put the sim into the iphone 4 did you get texts saying that you needed an appropriate data plan and that put you on one? Are you getting 3g? just keep using it. I heard it could take a few days to actually make the change.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

The 2g trick still works. Did it with my line 2 months ago. Bought iPhone 4, swapped to 2g, back to i4. Just did on wifes phone last billing cycle, same method... All good

I did get the text and the email saying they have put me on the appropriate plan. OLAM still shows I have the 2G data plan though. Getting 3mb+ on speed test. Obviously 3G speed.

The best way is:

1. Find a DeLorean
2. Find a long stretch of road
3. Drive 88 mph
4. Generate 1.21 Gigawatts
5. Go back to 2007
6. Make out with your mom
7. Sign up for unlimited AT&T data
8. Go BACK TO THE FUTURE!
9. You're done
