My XS Max had 100% battery health for 10 months then suddenly dropped to 92% after I got my wireless charger and used it frequently.

Not sure if it’s entirely the wireless charger (Belkin and Samsung) but I’m never wireless charging again unless I need to.

iPhone X for almost 2 years now and wirelessly charge it 95% of the time and still have a battery health of 93%.

I'm using either my MBP or 5w charger to charge my Max. I'm paranoid I get a swelling battery again, like I did on my X. I was using a Samsung wireless charger with the X, which may have be the cause of the swollen battery?

If the wireless charger was transferring too much energy, that transfers into heat to the battery controller, which is maybe what happened causing the battery to expand. I for one don’t use wireless chargers for that very reason alone, but that’s just my theory.

I am sure when you selling your old devices yearly;no one wants to buy a phone for good value at 95% and under battery health. I use the 5w charger on my XS MAX and keep it charged between 40-85%. I sold it for $950 at 98% battery health. The person did check the health before purchasing as well. I usually charge once every 24 hrs on that phone so imagine how much times I will charge now on this. I am currently 55% battery life and I was off the charger from 1am this morning.

Seems like a lot of work for not a lot in return. I had my 6S+ battery replaced last June and would run from 100% to roughly 30% every day for over a year and it just recently hit 98% health. That’s using a 10W charger every time too. I’d even top it off whenever possible. With my Pro Max I don’t plan on changing any of it, despite it lasting considerably longer.
