MP 7,1 Stock card upgrade: W5700X vs VII DUO

I know the W5700X is going to have the cooling and TB3 ports.

But it looks like 2 VII kicks a single W5700x's butt in Metal performance.

Anyone with VII DUO, here? Any problems? I thought I saw some problems with VII and sleep mode?

Will be using these for Adobe video and Da Vinci apps.

So you mean a pair of Radeon VII?

I have 2 of them in my 7,1. The performance is great. They go toe to toe with the Vega II for a fraction of the price.

As you may know though, not many applications can use both of them at the same time. So unless you're running applications designed to utilize multiple GPUs, it's not really a benefit to have 2 of them.

They do have an issue with sleep where the fans go full blast. So you have to go to the Energy Saver settings and prevent the computer from going to sleep.

If you can live with the fan workaround, its a great option.
