From the SCFC website:-
So, who's going to win?
The word win is in neither of those two teams vocabulary.
So they'll both probably lose.
Make sure you don't let Jaffa Cake vote multiple times, or your statistics will be all screwy.
First of all, it's Hull City AFC – Association Football Club, just to make sure there's no confusion between us and Hull FC, our chubby eggchasing groundmates.
And just as a form check, the last time these two great clubs met – back in January 2005 – City romped to a famous 3-1 victory courtesy of goals from Aaron Wilbraham, Jason Price and Danny Allsopp.
Personally, I'd put my money on an embarrassingly inept goalless draw, but as that option isn't on the poll then it's surely a convincing victory for the mighty Tigers, probably featuring a Dean Windass hat-trick. Ace.
Who's going to win? I'll support whoever buys me a drink in a few weeks time.
Hurrah! A thread that, in theory, only three people on this board should care about: dynamicv, and Jaffa Cake and myself.
To anyone else who was sad enough to look on this thread: shame on you.
For the record, it'll be a 0-0 draw under the baking Stopfordian sun.
I only looked because I was intrigued to see what knowledgeable but unexpected footy comment BV might have contributed. Alas, it was only a crude solicitation for a bevy...
As you were. Carry on.
Four, actually. R.Youden is a Tiger.
See, everyone? The County lot don't like you us 'ullites however welcome you with open arms. You know which option to vote for, my friends.
My lack of PR skills come to haunt me once again.
Too late!!! He's voted five times already. Look!!
However, I shall rescue the situation.
Stockport County are nice to animals
(And BV, there's a bottle of wine in it for you )
As are Hull when our new and splendid stadium was being built, construction was halted so that a colony of rare lizards could be moved to safety.
Yup, there is a small select band of Hull City followers lurking on macrumors. They should have the better of Stockport but what is it really worth, its only a pre-season friendly (typical Hull City fan, clutching a straws already!).
I wondered what that thing was I got from the chippy next to the ground the day they opened the stadium!
Evil Lizard Murderer!!! You see what they're like???
Vote County!! The stylish and well-endowed person's choice
I can't argue with the well-established fact that County do have incredibly stylish fans, who are indeed rumoured to be remarkably well-endowed – however, that's Newport County, not Stockport County.
Look, I'm sorry – I really didn't want to have to say this, but needs must.
Remember that Daz fella who embarrassed the UK at Eurovision last year? He's a Stockport fan, they even had a big good luck message to him on the Club website. That's the sort of people we're dealing with here, folks. Use your vote wisely.
I hate you
BTW, I just Googled "Hull City Famous Fans". Not one result
Oh, it's even better than him just being a fan. Surely you remember his County song storming into the charts at a position below where they start counting?
I'm still not helping our cause am I?
It goes downhill the moment Des and John stop speaking doesn't it?
I thought it went downhill from when it stopped saying "Buffering"...
Not true, we've got loads like Basil Brush's straightman Roy North, top playwright Alan Plater, actor Tom Courtney and best of all Omar Sharif is apparently a Tiger.
And then there's me of course.
I should point out that County don't cover themselves in glory in this respect...
Now we're talking. Our smashingly orange friend has remained silent on this point so far... and being kind to animals doesn't quite meet my demands, I should hope.
No promises of pintage... Can I retract my vote?
We'll see what we can do...
Not many of us going for it, but a county upset would be nice.
Hooray, our friends from Carlisle have turned up. The Alliance is still as strong as ever I see
