i could just replace the user name from the op and see how similar it is with some forum member. relatives or what? ;D

This just in.

Apple will now be including a subwoofer with updated Air 2 models to enhance the bass instead of its current design with vibration. Please return your current IPad 2, Apple promises the new Air 2s will not vibrate.

Is this serious? where did u find this?

OP, the complaint forums are fairly obvious in the titles of the threads....I just avoid them for the most part. The complaints usually peak for around a month or 2 after release of products and then taper off. I got annoyed at first with this site, but found there are plenty of good members here with a lot of valuable info. Don't get caught up in the negativity. Enjoy your new toy, and pop in on the threads that catch your interest....ignore the rest and your stay here will be much more pleasant. :)

Got my 64 GB Gold iPad Air 2 from Best Buy last week after trading in the iPad 2 that served years of use.

Reading on here all I see is a bunch of complaining. It seems like folks are looking for issues instead of enjoying the quality experience and superior hardware compared to other offerings. Looking for issues in the screen, vibration from speakers etc. The screen is beautiful! Of course you can look for imperfections and start to believe you see something wrong when you read forums of other complainers. Just like a paint job on a wall. Even the best painter in the world, you will find an imperfection if you scrutinize hard enough. But I'm still impressed by the overall experience of this device I don't have time to be anal and look for the minutest imperfections if there are any. Again, If there are any.

The speaker vibration is a non issue!! I actually like it and am impressed by the sound quality. How do you expect to get bass? The vibration is most likely intentional by Apple engineers to recreate bass and add to enhanced sound. Bass is created by moving air, which equates to vibration. Audiophiles with car/home systems know what I'm talking about. So why can't we appreciate such genius engineering in a tablet?

I just joined the forum and this is my first post on my brand new iPad Air 2. ;)

MacRumours is pretty much the place to complain about things from what I've seen here so if you're not into reading peoples complaints, I'd only hang around in select forums or threads.

IMO macrumors should actually create "complaint forums" - i.e. subforums where folks can complain. That way the rest of us don't have to see the 10 threads on vibration or the 30 threads asking "is this lightbleed???" or the countless numbers of "this is the worst product ever and I'm not buying it, and I know it's the worst ever even though it's not out yet."

IMO it's good to know that some folks are having issues, and while some folks want to know before buying, others don't (like me), so it'd be good to have a way for both groups to be happy.

Maybe they can have two sections here then. One, for the way you described, and the other for rainbows, unicorns, and the perfect ipad threads. smh

Good thing you don't wear Rolex watches! Or maybe you do. I've seen guys on that forum obsess to the point of looking at their watches with magnifying loupes to find a tiny spec of dust on the dial. But we're talking $5k plus watches.

I don't begrudge anyone wanting a high quality product for their money but is perfection across the board truly attainable on a mass produced product? There will always be some level of defect. The question is how far are you willing to go to find it? For all the Apple products I've owned, I only had to return 2 and one was a hard drive failure on a 2 month old 15" PowerBook.

For an obvious concern that bothers me to the point of return I surely would. But personally life is too short to obsess over things in life (devices included) that don't impact my ability to enjoy it. I read where one person returned 9 iPads? To me that's means it's not a product for me.
Out of curiosity what kind of defect would you consider not worthy of an exchange?

Stop Complaining!!

Wow. Who exactly do you think you are that your opinion should be shouted down towards people while everyone elses opinions should be repressed? This is one single new product distributed amongst millions of paying customers so a differing of users experiences exists whether you want it or not.

Complaining about issues is infinitely more valuable than complaining about people.

Stop complaining? That's asking for too much. People are so anal around here. I remember last year when I bought my iPad air I kept seeing these threads about yellow screens. I then started to think mine had a yellow screen after a while. Some ass bitched at me for saying my iPad screen looked perfect when someone started a thread to ask if our screens were yellow. In the end there was a thread full of people doing tests to see if their screens were uniform and others who said they were too scared to buy an iPad. Yeah, there are legitimate issues, but I feel like so many people are just looking for issues. Let them whine. I don't care if they return their iPads 5 times. Some people will never be happy.

Would be nice to have a "fanboys forum" too, so those of us who enjoy rational overviews of Apple's devices don't have to read sycophants' ramblings.

What I meant was that when you're waiting for a device to arrive at your house, and the only thing people are posting is complaints, it can be really demoralizing. If you separate that out from the posts on actual reviews (such as balanced and/or professional reviews), you get a more accurate picture.

Yeah, my ipad vibrates when I play music. No it's the ****** crisis that some forum members made it out to be. Yeah, some screens are bad. No, not "all screens are bad, Apple has no QA, it's a sinking ship, get out now!!!". You see the difference? If you don't, you're likely part of the problem.

"The problem" you speak of is what? People voicing personal opinions on a discussion board created to discuss products that they used hard earned money to pay for?

If you're going to point fingers then use one hand to point at yourself. A person buys a $700 device and then mentions battery life or wifi stability or chassis vibration. And your reaction is... to attack the user while downplaying and deflecting a real world issue by sensationalizing a simple complaint.

Did anyone REALLY say "My bluish tinted screen has burned out my pupils!" or "OMG vibrations are the downfall of society!"? Of course not. Yet here you are claiming that to be the attitude of a guy who simply noticed something and posted his experience.

And what is the solid reasoning behind your attacks? Because "if all people are posting is complaints, it can be really demoralizing". Seriously? ....Oh brother. If you can't handle honest opinions on products people own then maybe Teste does have a furry point.

I don't see why people can't be critical on a device they paid top dollar for. Apple puts itself on the highest tech tier, charges top prices for their offerings so to me it's only justified that their customers expect a flawless device. Ofcourse hyperbolic comments (goes both ways) don't help anybody, but fair critics add to a well informed purchasing decision. Can't see anything wrong with that. It's not like an Apple product is exempt from critisism.

to OP: u know, here in central Europe we used to have regime where complaining was forbidden, thx god we are free now, so mark this well: if there is something bothering me, I do complain.
