I have a late 2013 model too, and I've noticed the exact same problem on the left-hand side bezel today. Definitely a manufacturing issue.

Late 2013 here as well, same issue all around the Bezel, started noticing it, nothing on the screen yet. Has apple acknowledged this, or do you still have to fight tooth an nail to get it fixed?

Also what do you guys think the chances of them actually acknowledging this and fixing for free (considering past track records)- I am out of warranty.

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) and it has this around the entire screen...all in the black...this is my first search on it doing it so i haven't contacted Apple. Luckily i bought Apple Care but as i can see it may be a problem getting them to believe it wasn't something i've done....

I had the same problem as well, I'm no longer on Apple Care as I already owned this MacBook for almost 2 years. I contacted Apple and they offered me to replace the screen in an authorised apple service. I'm based in London, UK.

Oh, I forgot to upload a picture. Here is what I'm talking about!
The exact issue is happening to me expect there’s much more on mine, it doesn’t severely bother me but when I took a look at my cousins then at mine I felt irritated.

Wow this is an old thread. This is a problem known as staingate. Apple will replace your screen if you bring it to an Apple store.
