Only problem is VAT, corporate taxes (even though Apple Pay’s the least of not any by being in Ireland), cost of business such as mandatory extended warranty, employee wages, property taxes, etc. All these things have been rising due to the governments incompetency and unfortunately any sane business will pass that to the customer. Apple generally does not fluctuate its hardware prices throughout the year unlike the AppStore and it will be a cold day in hell if and when Apple actually decreases the price of a popular product such as iPhone in the middle of the year (OG iPhone being an exception), what this signifies is that Apple is expecting the UK and EU monetary markets to drop in value compared to the U$D from now until the release of iPhone 15. If the hedge on pricing drops further Apple may probably eat the difference but expect it to be reflected in other areas and its newest release.
You honestly believe Apple does not seeks financial guidance for foreign currency strength and weakness along with employee wages, property and business taxes before pricing its products. Must be nice to have a very basic understanding of global markets. 😝 😇
