Hey all -

Man, I am struggling with which case to use after Apple discontinued its leather cases. I was a die hard leather case user for years - I loved how thin they were, while also being tactile. One material, thin, easy to hold and it wouldn’t slip out of your hand. So far I’ve tried:

-Andar: Love the leather smell and look, but it’s noticeably thicker/boxier than Apple’s old case.
-Bellroy: Weird two-tone material thing going on, IMO. Don’t like the curved lip at the end. Feels like a TV dinner box…
-Apple silicone case: Closest thing I’ve found that works so far. Don’t love the feel of silicone, but one material, grippy, and fits perfectly (as you’d expect since they make the phone).
-Apple FineWoven case: Feels thick to me, don’t like the two-materials (sides and back), and has less grippiness so slips more often.
-Apple clear case: Shows off the phone but is so SLICK - literally.

Have you tried any cases that you like - ideally grippy, thin, and (as a bonus) leather?

Decoded leather case, reminds me of the old Apple leather cases before they changed them for worse ones.

I like the UAG monarch pro. It feels very light comparatively to other cases in its class.

My dad likes the UAG pathfinder over the OtterBox commuter. Less bulky and more grippy.!

I had a Nomad leather folio case on my 11 Pro. So went with the same thing on my new 15 Pro Max. Not the most convenient for taking photos but the folio flap gives extra protection to the screen

I don’t have the funds to try out several cases. I thought long and hard about it and decided to go with Apple sillicone this time and I’m very happy with it although it’s only been just over a week. I actually love the feeling of the sillicone though. I went with the guava color and I’m obsessed with it, so pretty.

I loved the Andar, but the hole where the action button is made it hard to press it. I need a cover over that button, not a hole.

Check out Bullstrap. They have a lifetime warranty and even allow 2 exchanges a year for whatever reason.

"Purchases are entitled to 2 cosmetic replacements per year, meaning we don’t care who’s at fault, all we care about is that you’re outfitted in the best of the best... For LIFE."

I share your observations. My compromise was the Apple Silicone. Enjoying it so far.

You may have just cost me a lot of money… they have nice stuff.

I was gonna go caseless but bought a silicone case just to have one if I’m camping or doing something a bit more risky for phone damage.

Now I want one of these cases…

Ok… my question on the Bullstrap leather cases:

Do they have a metal button for the “Action Button?”

If not, might be a pass, but they look beautiful. Choosing between Dune and Maverick for my natural titanium PM might also be a hard choice.

AliExpress has leather cases identical to original Apple case but made for Pro Max. It has action button. I might pull a trigger on one today.

Bullstrap definitely stand out from all the other leather cases.
Only the price and open bottom might not be for everyone. But the open bottom probably helps with swipe gestures and pluggin stuff in and out.

Keep calm. There are a lot of good case brands for clear case. Spigen is a good one. Good luck and wish the best to find a good one 😊

How is the MagSafe on Bullstrap cases? I certainly can’t afford one now but if I ever have some spending money I might take the plunge. They look so nice but I want a strong magnet.

I'm surprised Munro hasn't been mentioned. I've been using these on my 14 Pro since last year and find them to be nicer than Apple's but still familiar in feel:

Nomad would be my second go to brand:

Both support MagSafe.

I like these open bottom cases for silverish/non dark frames, they make it look less boring.
