Stuck atPurple Screen while Jailbreak? Do these!!!

after i jailbreak the first time, facetime disappeared. restored phone and it stuck at purple screen until i found this method! now im jailbreaking again. thanks for the help!

My Bad ;) Will fix my instructions up... Thanks for explaining...

BTW, there is a reason to go to Airplane mode... MY phone did receive a call during download so in order to prevent that.... ;)
 
This still isn't helping.. Blank purple cloud screen all night.

Edit: Just got it to work when I didn't x out Safari on the multitasking while changing the settings. Wonder if that makes a difference?
 
I couldn't get it to work for about half an hour, and I just hit reset network settings and it went through on the first try. So try to reset network settings as well if all else fails.
 
Ugh

I've been trying everything and haven't had any luck. I tried for about 45 mins last night and have been trying for about 20 this morning.

I've done the cookies thing, reset network settings, just tried reset everything and Safari still crashes as soon as I slide.

3GS running 4.0

Last night was on wifi at home and now 3G while at work.

Any other ideas?
 
finally

I did another network reset on my iphone 4, went back to jailbreakme and it finally finally worked. the key is the network reset.
 
Anyone still having issues? I'm doing another phone and it keeps crashing (which is different from 'purple screen'??). Both sources, crash.
Anyone know of a 3rd?

EDIT: My bad. I restored as a new phone, jailbroke (worked), then restoring from backup. :)
