Well that could be in the UK, but my experience in Belgium with Apple store is nog that positive. Mind, that's not the fault of the people working there who where, as far as they could, helpful. But in my case, I had a clearly broken MB on my first day and they would NOT replace it with a new one. They did contact Apple and two days after that they agreed to let me take a new one anyway (and I paid extra to upgrade to a MBP then). But like I read sometimes here, a return policy etc simply does NOT exist here. Buy a MBP and return within 30min, they will NOT take it back not even with a restocking fee.

It isn't an official Apple Store (as at this point in time there are no official Apple Stores in Belgium). It would be an Apple authorised reseller. They all have their own policies on returns as they are independent companies.

Apple Store replaced my Macbook 13" Unibody LED screen without question

Just brought my 7 month old Macbook 13" unibody in to the SoHo Apple Store in New York City to check on one dead pixel. The Apple Genius immediately saw the dead pixel and, without any hesitation, said I would have a new LED screen within 4 days. I was prepared to explain my story that I am an avid photographer and that the one dead pixel adversely affects my work, but, fortunately, I never needed to explain anything. Today reaffirmed my decision to buy another Apple computer and not a Windows-based machine. :)
