Two of my watches were supposed to arrive yesterday, 9/25.

They arrived in Louisville around midnight on 9/25 and have been stuck there.

UPS pushed the delivery date out to 9/27 and then added a note to the tracking about an "operational issue" causing a delay of "one business day".

Now the scheduled delivery is 10/5. That's Friday of next week.

Is anyone else seeing abnormally long delays in Louisville?

[doublepost=1537980330][/doublepost]The only time I use an UPS is when there is no choice which is only with Apple orders. Otherwise, it is FedEx all the way.

Same here. As I posted in my specific original delivery window thread:

I'm on the phone with UPS now to see if I can shake anything loose. Rep said she still shows 9/27, but then had me hold on to check into things. I'm on hold now.
______

Ok she came back from hold and said that it's is part of a large consolidated order where they hold all the parcels at the import stage until every parcel in the consolidated order arrives there. She said the consolidated order in my case (at least) was over 400 parcels, but she didn't know or couldn't say how many of those had arrived aside from mine. She said that Apple shipments from China are "always this way" for product launches, but usually the entire consolidated bunch of parcels arrive together. In this case they apparently did not.

She further claimed that in her system it still shows delivery set for Friday 9/27 (despite UPS.com saying 10/5) and that she would monitor it and contact me by phone or email by 11am EST tomorrow regardless. I find the latter claim amazing, if true.

Not sure how much to believe, if any of it! But, she didn't seem to be talking out of her ass if that matters. Truly sounded like she knew what she was talking about. I'll wait and see.

Also having same issue with 42 SS stuck in Louisville. Initially scheduled to arrive end of day Monday September 24, but now pushed out to October 5, which seems excessively long.

I just got off the phone with Apple. The rep put me on hold for a bit to check with UPS, and when they came back they said to expect it Thursday 9/27.

The crazy thing is my Apple Store order status shows yesterday, 9/25, for one of my orders and today, 9/26, for the other order.

There's obvious a glitch in the system...

Same here...delivery date was 9/25 --> 9/26 --> now Oct 5. So I went to a local Apple Store and picked up the watch. Don't have the patience to wait another week. Will have to return the pre-order one when it arrives.

Just got an email for 1 of my 2 watches with 9/27, and I noticed the same additional import scan:

Louisville, KY, United States 09/26/2018
1:26 P.M. Import Scan

Edit: I think you are right about the scan triggering the email. My email came about 12 minutes after my scan.

My Choice. 9/27 only appears there...site still says 10/5. BUT, there is a second "Import Scan" at 12:49pm EST which seems to have triggered the email. Maybe all the parcels arrived, and they re-scanned them?

I also got a "second" import scan of 12:59 p.m. from today September 26. But don't know why it should take over a week until October 5 for it to be delivered?

Only 1 of mine has the second import scan so far. I'm hoping that second scan is a sign it will start moving soon.

Same boat. First Delivery date was 9-21 then 9/24,9-25,9/26, then email form UPS saying rescheduled for 9-27. Now UPS online says 10-5. They have no idea.

I have a return originally scheduled for delivery in Mount Juliet, TN last monday Sept 24th and everyday it has delayed one business day. I received an email thay says it will be delivered tomorrow Sept 27th but if I check the tracking page it still shows a delivery date of 05/10

Never experienced a delay like this before. This situation also delays my refund from Apple

You have the double import scan. I'm still waiting for that on my second watch... tick tick tick

Same exact thing for me...my first Louisville import scan was at 3:06 am on 25 September. The UPS tracking said it would be delivered on the 25th, and even though I was skeptical, I waited all day yesterday for the UPS truck because I’ve seen reports on Twitter that UPS drivers are requiring signatures despite Apple’s “no signature required” statement. Then sometime this morning, it changed briefly to the 27th and then to 5 October. I was thinking it must have gotten lost or stolen or misrouted, but I couldn’t get a definitive answer despite contacting Apple and UPS several times over the past two days. I just now got my second Louisville import scan and a new scheduled delivery date of tomorrow.

I wish UPS and/or Apple had been more forthcoming about the reasons for delays when I contacted them. I assumed that manufacturing the watch and shipping it to the US would be the longest part of the journey; an apparent need for 12 days to deliver it from Louisville to my home in the mid-Atlantic was baffling.

I called and was told it was a storm last night in Louisville. @anthonymoody was told it was an issue of consolidating a large order order of parcels that didn't arrive together. Technically both could be correct. It's impressive that millions of products can be moved around the world simultaneously on the launch week, but it's frustrating when your on the end of a glitch and not getting reliable delivery dates - or dates that keep shifting wildly....

Also, I get different UPS tracking results. The text that UPS sent me says 27 September but clicking on the linked tracking number says 5 October. Tracking it by my cell number as a reference number says the 27th. I get an error message when I try to track using my Apple order number as a reference. . At this point I won’t believe anything until I see “out for delivery.”

On an unrelated note, Stuck in Louisville sounds like a sitcom...like Hot in Cleveland. Maybe Betty White’s available?

I ordered at around 4 am on pre-order Friday and my watch was originally going to be delivered early October. Then my card was debited for payment on the weekend. Apple tracking said delivery Tuesday--then another message arrived on Tuesday saying a one day delay with delivery Wednesday. This morning it still said delivery Wednesday then mid-morning it was abruptly changed to Oct 5. Watch is stuck in Louisville. I'm pretty frustrated with Apple as it looks like they can't get their act together.

I Have to say, lots of weird shipping issues this year with the Series 4 Apple Watch. My 44 mm black stainless was delivered on Monday, but was actually slated to be delivered on Friday the 21st, which actually showed tracking still in China that time. Strange indeed.

Just got a departure scan from KY as well. Looks like it was about 3:30pm. I live in ATL so I hope it comes tomorrow.
