You guys sure this isn't a dust particle? How can massaging an LCD fix a dead pixel?

I'm pretty certain mine is NOT dust because it changes color, and is in the exact same place every time. Also, it HAS gone away for a few hours and come back.

What would apple do if I brought this in to the store?

Try the electric toothbrush.. Somebody mentioned this a while back, and I don't see why it wouldn't work, especially since you see the dust particle stuck to the glass, and not the inner display.
Good luck...

When I would press to massage it, it would stick to the LCD panel, then jump back to the glass, sometimes upward, sometimes downward.:mad:

I was thinking I needed something "ultra-sonic" to cause it to fall off...I'll have to procure something.

Well I guess it needs to be something powerful enough to jiggle that dust particle off...

Wow, yeah that's not dust then. Neat little trick to know. Never would have thought to massage a screen to remove dead pixels, but if it works, I'll have to keep it in mind if I get a bad screen.

Hey everyone,

I just realized that I have a stuck pixel on my screen. It is a tiny light blue spec, that doesn't go away when I restart.

All the advice online is to apply pressure, but with the glass display, I don't think it would be the same. Does anyone have any advice on how to get rid of it? Is this something apple would fix if I wasn't able to?

Thanks

*edit* I just realized that the pixel almost seems like it is "flickering" and the dimness is going up and down like a candle almost

I have a red stuck pixel. Extremely annoying while watching movies. Tried massageing, pixel fixer videos, everything. Nothing works. I've given up. It flickers like yours. It wasn't there when I got the MB.
