As a side note, I said something earlier in this thread about the 21" CRT being the heaviest Apple product ever produced.

I've since learned that I was actually incorrect. There are two products that are heavier, and I own a couple of examples of one of them.

The Apple Network Server tips the scale at somewhere in the neighborhood of 90lbs.

Even more staggering, though, is the XServe RAID, of which I have 3. Fully dressed with 14 drives, these tip the scale at well north of 100lbs.

Apple actually cautions not to put one in a two post rack...since I don't have any "small" four post racks, I'm pushing my luck and actually have two of mine at the bottom of separate two post racks(one of mine doesn't have drives in it, so it sits idle).

Trying my luck on this thread... If anyone here is based in London/UK and fancies picking up my 17" ADC LCD Display from North London, I'd happily give it away for free or say, against a small donation to the charity of your choice.
Seems like no one’s interested at the minute. Shame since I have to make room in my flat and this display needs to go! Can’t just send it to recycling, can I?

Thanks, I'll probably be down a few times towards the end of the year/start of next year so might be able to fit something in then, or I'm near Cambridge if you're ever up that way - feel free to give it to another taker in the meantime :)

I did own a large Ilyama back in the day. Can't remember if it was a 19" or a 21" but it was huge, unwieldy and weighed a ton, I think about 25kg or so. My back definitely remembers lugging that up two very narrow flights of stairs. Had a 1600x1200 resolution screen. I ended up junking it when LCDs took off as nobody wanted it despite its superior picture quality. This one must have been the non plus ultra of its day.

Can't imagine what Windows 3.1 would have looked like on that back then if you had cards and drivers to support it.
