That's true. But my folks were married at 19/20 (respectively), had no problems in their marriage and they're mid 50's now. Grandparents all married when they were 17-18 too and they're all still together.

It's was a different time in your grandparents day. People were expected to make marriage work. And as I'm only a couple years younger than your parents, I can say the same thing was true as well, though in this day and age, its easier, with Hollywood's example, to just divorce and move on to the next in line. :D

I have about two:

1) Going to an expensive private university and putting myself in buttloads of debt.

2) Unceremoniously dumping a girlfriend who was probably the one who treated my 3 times better than any of the girls that followed.

Going to highschool, the land of kids that reckon there so good cause they were there pants so low, and pull there socks up. meh to you all

And probably getting into computers at a young age, i believe it has changed my life but thats another story for another life time.

Letting people talk me out of applying to Columbia. I still regret it, because now I'll never know. :(

Hopefully I can make it up with law school though. :)

That's the truth. So many seem to want to talk us out of our dreams.

Luckily, I have a stubborn streak in me in that when someone said that I couldn't do it, it only made me work harder to reach my goal. Not always successful, but more successful than had I not tried anything. :)

Thankfully I haven't let anyone talk me out of being a lawyer. :p

Wait, is that something to be thankful about? :p

well consider the bright side that you arent massivly in debt with student loans as a result of going there:)

Yeah, but I probably would have gotten a lot of aid. Berkeley isn't as cheap as you would think.

Chalk up another one for going to college directly after high school and dropping out (wasn't planning on going directly after high school but went cause I got a scholarship)

I must admit, the Bay Area is a great place, but NYC has got to be also.

Either way, you can't go wrong (Chicago too).

First marriage at 19 years old.

I was married at age 19 and am loving it after 9 years. My parents were married at 20 and 16, still together. My moms parents married young and made it past the 50 year mark and never divorced. They would still be married if my grandmother was still alive.

I was wondering how this thread turned into a college topic. Maybe I misread the title .

As for me, I regret getting into fist fights in school. In one of them I remember waking up on the floor with a massive headache. I think I lost that one. In another one I beat someone up and months later I thought about it and it may have been a misunderstanding. To this day I am not sure. Ya I was young and dumb.
